I agree with McCoach, but I think that the question is deeper than just an opinion about how strong the team will be. This is the type of points that teams will have to consider when declaring where they will play. Perhaps a team that is filled with grade 11s who are strong, but realistically will not win an ofsaa birth this year will want to play in the ofsaa division to play against the best teams in the city rather than play in tier one where they would face teams in their competitive level. A good example of this would have been St. Peter's last year or Sacred Heart two years ago if the system was in place then. Both teams were good enough to play with the top tier of teams in the city but last year Sacred and Hillcrest were the obvious favourites and the year before St. Matts, Glebe, and SRB were the obvious favourites. I am quite confident that coach Coventry for St. Peter and Coach House for Sacred would have played in the ofsaa division but this new system does give coaches in their positions something to think about.
