I think it is time to start talking about the guys coming up...
St Macs Moncton high, and BMHS have some work to do but have some talented young kids.
FHS will have a stronge team for years to come... Gary is a good coach but relentless when it comes to pressing when up by a million pts
LHHS is sittin number 2... young team, look out for them next year,,, they do have some size but not on the starting 5.
CNHS have their spurts...
CDJ from edmunston have the first team in 20 years playing... only have a JV boys team although they did allow a girl to play on that team (good for them)... they have ALOT of work, take bad shots and choices but they are developing..
I like to look at the JV teams to see how the future looks,,, by things now Dr Wright might see alot of the AUC in future years...

Things might not that that smooth for FHS going forward. Riverview has 4-5 grade 10's playing varsity. If those kids were down on the JV squad they might be the top team in province. St. Stephen is playing everyone tough this year even though all their players are in grade 9. KVHS has played FHS really close on two occasions this year and they start 2 grade 9's and 2 others grade 9's are in their main rotation.

this is true.... But I still see FHS as a force based on size and speed. Phil will do alot of work with them as they go on.
KVHS is hosting regionals and its looking like KV, LHHS, SSHS, and CN?..
It will be interesting to see what the teams will look like next year as so many have full rosters of grade 9's.

FHS will be a force but because of their size...not team speed. Connors, Durling, Arsenault and MacPherson give them a line up bigger than most Sr teams. On the flip side they are not nearly as strong in transition or at beating people off the dribble as previous FHS Jr. teams.

The last time KV played FHS it was an interesting contrast in styles. KV play man-to-man, occasionally full court, while FHS played half court 2-3 zone primarily. On offense KV struggled to finish in their half court sets scoring mostly off open court one-on-one or two-on-two plays while FHS pounded the ball inside with some pick-and-roll up top.

St. Macs has played both FHS and KV very close this year. Long term is will be interesting to see how this group improves. They are not big but have some very good athletes in Dornan, Pettinger and Smith. If they can develop some bigs they'll be in the picture two years from now for sure.

Don't sleep on SJHS. They have two grade 9 bigs in Armstrong (6' 6") and Livingston (6'3") and their grade 9 PG Caleb Morgan is an excellent athlete.

Sussex is by far the most improved team I've seen this year, followed closely by St. Stephen. A couple more years of improvement like this year will definitely put them in the Final 8 discussion at that time.
