Does anyone have any idea how the tournament will turn out, and possibly the teams key players?

Heard Harvey won big over South Vic and John Caldwell, and that Hartland played a close game with McAdam. Anybody with any more details? Is Hartland going to a big surprise team this year?

68-65 for mcadam according to the nbiaa site! Hartland has quite a few great players including their starting pointguard Caleb Orser who played for u15 new brunswick this summer. Look for hartland to put up a fight with devon park in the west!

The Orser kid is a very good ball player....I was down to that tournament. Hartland has a couple real tall boys. If tey learn how to post up...Hartland is a real threat for Harbour. If they stay outside the paint like they did this weekend, Devon will most likely have their way with them.

St Stephen is in Harvey tomorrow night (Wednesday). Also both of these teams are at the Rothesay High tournament this weekend with six other teams.

Yep, should be a good game! Really see what this new Harvey team can do. As well as the Rothesay tournament with one side having Rothesay, Campobello, Harvey, Devon Park and the other with St Stephen, McAdam, Sussex, and Mathieu-Martin.

Heard Devon park played at least two games this past weekend. Not sure if it was a tourny but there were wins bya 100(ish). Any more south games played? would like to see some scores.

Well, I don't think our boys will be much of a factor in 'A', based on the scores I've seen:

Lost to Rothesay by almost 50.
Lost to Carleton North by 30.
Lost to St.Macs by almost 20.

That Rothesay tournament looks interesting....should be some good basketball.

GM boys willl be competitive this year, they only had 7 or 8 of their 12 away as several of them were lobster fishing or working on the lobster cars, at least 2 of their starters didn't make the trip, their grade 9's and 10's played alot. Not to say they would have won any of those games, but they might have been closer than they looked, hard games to make a judgement on.
Harvey, McAdam and Campobello are all going to be strong, the south zone will be kind of like the AL East in baseball, the Breakers/Blue Jays will be in it but will have to really work hard to have any shot of success in the playoffs, lol!

Thanks for the info forever39.....kinda forgot about the beginning of lobster season, being 2800 miles away in oil country...You can make some good money in a short period of time. Well, I hope the boys are competitive this year...
