Who would you consider the top 10 or more graduating players from highschool this year? From 1A to 4A

Top 5 Grade 12 players from the north. In no particular order:

1. Kyle Peterson (Ainlay)
2. Lyndon Annetts (Ainlay)
3. Khalil Bertin (Paul Kane)
4. Tyler Wise (Paul Kane)
5. Denzel James (J.P.)

Your top 5 certainly has names mentioned many times. I think Shep and Scona could compete in that list or at least add a couple names to make it a good top 8. Don't get me wrong, I would have those 5 on my team in a heartbeat, but there is no inside/big players in those 5. Also, when you look at defensive abilities, I know a few players out there that are very good at shutting some of those players down completely.
Couple other names to add to that list
Gerdes - Ainley
Vogel - Shep
Wannamaker - Shep
Bowie - Jp

I believe Gerdes is graduating this year, but I would not put his name amongst the legitimate bigs like a Deiter Posein from down south.Gerdes plays with a lot of emotion, but doesn't deserve to make the top 5 from the North. If I was to add a big to my list from the north, I would rather have a Connor Foreman on my team, and that's even debatable.

As far as Bowie and Wannamaker go, I don't think they are in the same caliber of the top 5 listed, but they can play ball. They might be listed in the top 40 from the north, but nowhere near the top 10. I'm not familiar with the Vogel kid from Shep, so I can't comment on him.

The difference with these 5 boys is, yes they could have off nights, but I don't really think it's a reflection of them being shut down completely by any of the boys you've mentioned, it would be more of them learning how to play consistently and bringing it every night. Defensively speaking, Peterson and Bertin would probably be ranked the best in the province.

Should be a good year. Looking forward to watching the battle between Grandin and Ainlay for top honours.

I agree with alot of what is posted but i think there is too much focus on the 4A, there has to be other good players in 1A, 2A, 3A. Like players such as Jasdeep Gill from Chestermere or Eryk Babyn of McCoy.

I agree Jas is a good player that doesn't play 4A, but I am not sure if he's graduating this year. If he isn't graduating this year, this will set him up nicely for his senior year.

I saw Jasdeep play last year at the Ross Shep tournament and he was unreal. He was in grade 11 last year so I am quite certain Jasdeep graduates this year.

Kyle Petersen from Ainlay will be great this year, so will Khalil from Paul Kane.
