Having handled Walnut Grove at their candy cane classic tournament they totally dominated WJMouat by over 30 points. Name players? Where do you guys thing they would sit playing AAA?

Did they hand out 30pt loss to Mouat? Wow. When did this happen?

Thats what i heard. Maybe Mouat didn't have all their players but that is a heck of a point differential.

Hasn't Mouat been battling a lot of injuries? Either way it is an extremely impressive wn for Mission.

They were a very good team last year at the end of the of year, making an impressive run at the end of February-beginning of March. They won the Fraser Valley then went all the way to the championship game losing in OT to Southern Oliver. This was all with 10 grade 11's on their senior roster. Last year, at AA's, their two best big men were 6'5" Luke Morris and 6'6" Rhys Parry (both grade 11's, both made the 1st all-star team) and their backcourt consisted of two grade 11's as well. I have no info about how good their junior team was last year, but with those grade 11's now in grade 12 it is no surprise they're doing well this year.

Mission lost in the Final to STM at the GW Graham Tourney a couple of weeks ago, STM with Denzel and Jalen has such a strong backcourt watch out for them.

Mission is running there annual Bobby Bremner Tourney on Jan. 6 and 7. They should be the heavy favorites to win it, with Fulton, South Okanagan and Holy Cross looking like the only teams that might challenge, but we will see.

STM is good, but they just lost last night 75-63 to windsor.... STM was down 25 at one point, in the third quarter. Windsor looked really strong with great shooting and solid post presence.

ive heard windsor still has a couple players out right now aswell?? any ideas on how the rankings will shape up after this? Would Windsor go to number one after beating STMC? or does Mission ?

STM and Mission would both be top 10 in the AAA rankings. They have both beaten ranked triple A teams. Mission has very quick guards and some strong big men. Morris and Parry are very good. Morris is a CP selection and a player to watch out for. STM has very strong guards with some good skill. They are both very good teams and match well against the other. However, overall I see Mission as being the strongest of the AA teams in the province.

I saw Mission play through out spring league and they had no trouble matching up at that time against Pitt Meadows, Walnut Grove and Terry Fox and though coaches tighten up their benches during league play, I have no doubt that any of these top Fraser Valley teams would be in a dogfight with the Roadrunners pretty much every game.

I would guess that on any given night the top five of the AA could compete with the top 10 of the AAA. Winning against the top 10 on a consistent basis is another thing. Just ask Tamanawis, WRCA or Kitsilano, all top 10 teams that have not been able to maintain any sort of momentum through the middle of the season.
