Here are some of the teams;
We (SACHS) play Sir Winston Churchill
Spruce Grove plays Bishop O'Byrne
Raymond play Bev Facey
McCoy plays ABJ (I think...)

I know we will be in tough.. and should we get past SWC and McCoy beat ABJ, it would be a repeat of the 3A finals from last year. Spruce Grove would be favored to meet Raymond which would be a great game. Some good basketball for sure.

looks like the field is not quite what it has been in the past Shocked ....Western and Centennial are absent ...the only top teams that are missing... perhaps they were booked up ....

Raymond beat Spruce Grove by about 15 in semis - played outstanding basketball, aggressive defense and pushed the ball very well.

McCoy beat SACHS by 2. We unfortunately lost our best player in the first half - not only our high scorer but our PG as well. It was a great battle - low scoring for two teams that score a lot of points (55-53).

Spruce Grove playing SACHS for 3/4
McCoy playing Raymond for championship.

Not entirely sure of other scores;
SWC was playing ABJ in Consolation final
SACHS beat Spruce Grove by 2 in 3/4 game. We hit a last second shot to win 64-62. We played game without our #15 PG, who is our MVP (head injury) so great game to step up and challenge one of the best in the province.
Raymond over McCoy by about 30 in final game (Tollestrup had 20+ @ half). I'm surprised by the margin of victory. Both teams had tough semi-finals but maybe we took a little more out of McCoy and Raymond had an extra couple of hours to rest. McCoy looked tired and Raymond scored a ton in transition.
Some very good, high paced girls basketball.

Thanks for the updates. Always appreciate your posts and perspective. Wow! Looks like there was a real shake up on the 4A side. It will be very interesting coming down the stretch as it looks like any team can be beaten.
These competitive tournaments are a grind and that last game can be tough for any team to get up for - due to injury, fatigue or whatever.
It looks like you and McCoy are headed for a real showdown in 3A. And it is great to see how competitive you are with the top 4A schools.
Good luck with the rest of your season.

After a tough start for us against a real good team out of Raymond, we (JORDAN) beat BOB 67-55 and then I thought we played well against a good SWC team winning a close one 72-66.
I had the opportunity to watch the 3rd place game between two really well coached teams, SG and SACHS. The last 5 minutes was fun basketball to watch, end to end, made shot after made shot, both teams playing as hard as they could, SACHS made two late shots to pull it out.
Good Tournament, always fun to be at. Dave and the gang out at Spruce Grove always do a great job taking care of the teams.
