Should come down to a Mission vs. GW Graham final. That would be a great final - size and strength of Mission versus an up-beat fast paced shooting style of Graham. Tough to call a winner on such two different styles. Southridge is decent and will probably take 3rd in this playoff.

Agreed, Misson looks to be too big and too strong against a gun slinging team like Graham, but you can't count out a hot shooting night from GWs 3 point gunner Lucas Mannes.

Southridge looks like a lock for 3rd, and the 4th spot looks like it will come down to three teams Carney, Delview, and Holy Cross all ranked teams throughtout the year, Carney will have the home court edge going for them, Delview will always be dangerous when the 3 ball is dropping for them, and Holy Cross has a the only real Big who can rack up pts in the paint.

Another fun week ahead of real competitve AA ball.

Well as predicted by Realitycheck it is a Mission vs Graham final. Thoughts?

I REALLY have to get out and watch some AA ball. I watched Carney, STM and Mission enough over the Fox spring league to know they can compete any night of the week with the top of the Fraser Valley AAA teams and from all accounts Graham and Southridge are the real deal as well. Maybe next week!

The four teams from the Valley headed to the AA Provincials:
Mission + GW Graham (will play Saturday Feb.25 at Carney at 830 for 1st/2nd)
Archbishop Carney + Abbotsford Christian (will play Saturday Feb.25 at Carney at 630 for 1st/2nd)

3 of the top four seeds will advance, only 3rd seed Southridge will miss out of the Provincials losing a close game to 5th seed Abby Christian.

Someone mentioned that I should take in a bit of AA ball. Pretty good advice! I caught the final two games of the Fraser Valley AA championships over at Arch Bishop Carney and was treated to a great night of ball.

In the opener, the 3rd/4th place game, Abbotsford Christian exacted revenge for a 2nd round loss to Arch Bishop with a lopside win as the Knights won handily 74-45.

In the final, the two top AA teams met up and in a game of two halves, Mission was able to sustain momentum longer than GW Graham as they fought their way to a 76-62 in a game that was much tighter than the score would indicate and the Roadrunners repaet as Fraser Valley AA senior boys champions.

2nd All Stars

Aaron Madaisky - Holy Cross
Jonathon Vu - Southridge
Patrick Simon - ArchBishop Carney
Willian Baumann - ArchBishop Carney
Dan Vaggs - Abby Christian

1st All Stars

Tylan Postma - Abby Christian
Ruys Parry - Mission
Luke Morris- Mission
Fran Armengual - GW Graham
Lucas Mannes - GW Graham

MVP

Luke Comeau - Mission

Please forgive spelling...copying of piece of handwritten paper.

Added a game wrap...
