The last BC ranking for "AA" has been released.

NOTE - this is a ranking for the last ranking period and NOT a tournament seeding.

I don't know if we have seen any scores from Charles Hays, but I just realized they are the combined Prince Rupert Rainmakers and Charles Hays now, as Prince Rupert Sec is now a middle school and feeds into Charles Hays. If Mel Bishop moved over to coach at Charles Hays, which I assume he did, they could be pretty good with the two combined schools' boys population under Mel...

If the two schools got combined shouldn't the student numbers be too many for the AA classification?

Population of Prince Rupert (region) is dropping. Both were smaller AA schools. 80 and 225 are the breakpoints.

Mel is coaching them. They were down in the Victoria Police tourney but played under the Prince Rupert name and wore the Rainmakers uniforms. Charles Hays did not register with online BC Boys' system until late January.

Thanks to SportVictoria for the great Game Wraps
http://www.sportvictoria.com/basketball/2011-12/Playoffs/2012-BC-AA-wrap-up.htm

Wednesdays result are below, looks like no upsets, I still think this is Mission to lose.

Mission(1) 65 over LV Rogers(16) 38
by Alex Van Samang, Sportvictoria
Quote :
Mission showed why they have the #1 seed as they defeat L.V. Rogers (Nelson) with a comfortable 65-38 victory. Luke Morris, last year's first team all star for Mission, came out strong and scored the team's first 13 points of the game.

Duchess Park(8 ) 82 over South Okanagan(9) 78
by Alex Van Samang, Sportvictoria
Quote :
Duchess Park (Prince George) defeated the South Okanagan (Oliver), the defending BC Champions, by four in a tight seed 8 versus 9 match-up. Grade 11's Montel Lindgren and Nathanial Pawluk led Duchess to the 82-78 victory scores 38 and 30 respectfully. Greet Gill scored 46 for the boys of Oliver.

King George(4) 91 over Lambrick Park(13) 65
by Alex Van Samang, Sportvictoria
Quote :
The Lambrick Park (Victoria) battled hard and put up a valiant effort but King George (Vancouver) had just too many weapons as they won 91-65 and moved on to the round of eight.

Brentwood College(5) 72 over Sa-Hali(12) 42
by Lyle Dhur, Sportvictoria
Quote :
Brentwood College (Mill Bay) walked over Sa-Hali (Kamloops) 72-42. Brentwood shared it around as David Lawrence had 20, Jordan Charles 16 and Jon Courville 14 while averaging less than 25-minutes.

G.W. Graham(3) 93 over Charles Hays(14) 59
by Lyle Dhur, Sportvictoria
Quote :
Lucas Mannes and Cody Hansen each dropped 22 as G.W. Graham (Chilliwack) cruised to a 93-59 win over Charles Hays (Prince Rupert).

Windsor(6) 71 over Archbishop Carney(11) 61
by Alex Van Samang, Sportvictoria
Quote :
Windsor (North Vancouver) advances to the quarter-finals with a 71-61 win over Archbishop Carney (Port Coquitlam). Windsor's David Manshreck scored 42 to help secure his team the victory. Relentless pressing and trapping did take it's toll on Windsor as Carney was able to grab the lead with six minutes remaining. Windsor however was able to overcome the tenacious defence for the 10-point win.

St. Michael’s(2) 87 over Princess Margaret(15) 47
by Lyle Dhur, Sportvictoria
Quote :
St. Michaels (Victoria) beat Princess Margaret (Penticton) from long range as seven different shooters hit from behind the arc in the 87-47 win for the Island's # 1 representative. St. Michaels' shooting was the key to the game as the Blue Jags hit for a mere 63% from the floor overall. Add to this the fact that they shot greater than 55% from behind the arc. Shall we say a statement game!

St. Thomas More(7) 67 over Abbotsford Christian(10) 42
by Alex Van Samang, Sportvictoria
Quote :
St. Thomas More defeated Abbotsford Christian, 67-42. The final result was not indicative of the game as the STM charged out of the gate and posted a 46-17 lead at half-time. Provincial team point-guard Denzel Laguerta was hitting from downtown and STM cruised through the second half to an easy victory.

Thursday games.

South Okanagan(9) 88 over LV Rogers(16) 55
by Lyle Dhur, Sportvictoria
Quote :
It was the Okanagan versus Kootenays in the open game of day two.
South Okanagan (Oliver) was able to avenge an early season 4-point loss (at home in their own tournament) as they routed LV Rogers (Nelson) 88-55.

Lambrick Park(13) 72 over Sa-Hali(12) 65
by Lyle Dhur, Sportvictoria
Quote :
Lambrick Park (Victoria) struggled but was able to dispatch the tournament host, Sa-Hali (Kamloops), 72-65.
Lambrick jumped out to a big lead thanks to the shooting of Brendan Somers and the tough inside game of Lucas Dellabough.
Some questionable calls put Lambrick in foul trouble and that allowed Sa-Hali to close the lead, that was as big as 20 points in the 3rd quarter, to 2 with about 3 minutes to go in the fourth.
Clutch baskets in the dying minutes allowed Lambrick to hang on and seal the victory.

Archbishop Carney(11) 77 over Charles Hays(14) 56
by Lyle Dhur, Sportvictoria
Quote :
After a tough loss to Windsor on Wednesday, Archbishop Carney (Port Coquitlam) strolled to a 77-56 victory over Charles Hays (Prince George) today.
Carney showed their defensive teeth as they were able to hold the outmatched Prince Rupert boys to less than 35% from the field while shooting 48.5% themselves.

Princess Margaret(15) 81 over Abbotsford Christian(10) 65
Quote :
Princess Margaret (Penticton) over Abbotsford Christian 81-65

Mission(1) 66 over Duchess Park(Cool 60
by Lyle Dhur, Sportvictoria
Quarter-final # 1

Quote :
Mission survived a scare as Duchess Park (Prince George) has them down 44-37 late in third quarter. Mission showed why they are the # 1 seed as they came back to win 66-60 and be the first team into the semi-finals.
Luke Morris set the pace with 23 for Mission and Nathanial Pawluk had 19 in a losing effort.

Brentwood College(5) 53 over King George(4) 47
by Alex Van Samang, Sportvictoria
Quarter-final # 3

Quote :
Brentwood College (Mill Bay) over King George (Vancouver) 53-47.
Brentwood played a smart, disciplined game and King George was anything but as they appeared to squander opportunities and then some bad breaks did not help the talented Vancouver squad.

G.W. Graham(3) 72 over Windsor(6) 64
by Alex Van Samang, Sportvictoria
Quarter-final # 2

Quote :
G.W. Graham (Chilliwack) 72-64 Windsor (North Vancouver)
Windsor had a tough time early finding hoop and Graham punished them with a strong transition game to take 16-point lead into the change-room at half-time.
Windsor emptied the tank to come back and take a 1-point lead with four to go.
Windsor missed two foul-shots late only to see Graham's #1, Lucas Mannes, hit a 30' pull-up jumper to put his team from Chilliwack up two. After fouls and foul-shots it was an 8-point victory and a semi-final berth for G.W. Graham.
St. Thomas More(7) 65 over St. Michael’s(2) 54
by Alex Van Samang, Sportvictoria
Quarter-final # 4

Quote :
St. Thomas More (Vancouver) beat St. Michaels (Victoria), 65-54, but the score did not show the two games that took place. In the first half it was all St. Thomas More and the second half it was all St. Michaels. STM was lead Denzel Laguerta and Andrew Morris in the first half only to see St. Michaels' Joe Erlic become a man possessed for the second half. Unfortunately for Erlic and his Blue Jags there was not enough left to come all the way back and hold on for the win.
St. Thomas More completes the semi-final draw as they now go on to face G.W. Graham tomorrow night.

Friday games.

Sa Hali(12) 72 over LV Rogers(16) 56
by Lyle Dhur, Sportvictoria
Quote :
The hosts, Sa-Hali (Kamloops) were able to capture there first win of the tournament with a solid 72-56 win over LV Rogers (Nelson).
Noah Marchand and Chris Toporowski each had strong games for Sa-Hali with 25 and 21 respectfully. Toporowski also had a game-high 15 boards.
John Zak had 20 for LV Rodgers.

Abbotsford Christian(10) 61 over Charles Hays(14) 44

Lambrick Park(13) 85 over South Okanagan(9) 61
by Lyle Dhur, Sportvictoria
Quote :
When a team has three players that each drop in the excess of 20 points on you... you're in trouble! That's what South Okanagan (Oliver) saw as they fell 85-61 to Lambrick Park (Victoria). Lambrick's Brendan Somers was top man, at 25 points, of a trio. The other two were Chris Fougner and Lucas Dellabough who each had 23.
Greet Gill led the boys of Oliver with a game-high 32.

Archbishop Carney(11) 89 over Princess Margaret(15) 64

King George(4) 68 over Duchess Park(Cool 55
by Lyle Dhur, Sportvictoria
Quote :
Duchess got strong games from Nathanial Pawluk (23) and Montel Lindgren (20), who also had 12 boards each, but unfortunately it wasn't enough as King George (Vancouver) defeated Duchess Park (Prince George) 68-55.
King George's Kristian Hildebrandt, with 18, led a balanced attack that saw six players scoring seven or more.

Windsor(6) 62 over St. Michaels(2) 51
by Lyle Dhur, Sportvictoria
Quote :
Windsor (North Vancouver) defeated St. Michaels (Victoria), 62-51, in large part due to St. Michaels woeful shooting in the 2nd half, where they shot less 21% from the field. Ouch. Not a time for a power-outage.
David Manshrek led Windsor with 25 and Dyllan Quon had 20. Manshrek was also the top dog on the boards with 13.

Mission(1) 53 over Brentwood College(5) 43
Semi-final # 2

St. Thomas More(7) 72 over G.W. Graham(3) 55
by Lyle Dhur, Sportvictoria
Semi-final # 1

Quote :
St. Thomas More (Vancouver) earns the first berth into the finals with a 72-55 victory over G.W. Graham (Chilliwack).
Owning the glass was the difference as St. Thomas More had 48-25 advantage on the boards.
Mike Carney had the most ink on the scoresheet for STM with 22. Andrew Morris chipped in with 16 and Jalen Jana had an even dozen.
For G.W. Graham, Lucan Mannes led the way with 22, unfortunately nobody else found the scoring touch to break double-digits.

The games were in Kamloops. And no, I don't think any of them ended up being live streamed. Maybe the semis and finals...
