Easy to predict a Pitt / Kelowna final. These 2 teams have established themselves as the best in the province. It would be an huge upset to knock them off.

The rankings from 3 to 12 are a mixed bag. Anyone can knock anyone off in a 1 game playoff. Will VC / Fox be a first round matchup? Oak Bay's Island win gets them a nice game with Mouat (who wants to play Mouat in Round 1) ? Does Walnut Grove really want to hookup with Tupper in Round 1 (if Tupper pounds the ball down low, they will be tough to beat)? WRCA / Kits for the fourth time this year will be another classic nailbiter.

I got the whole feed. Very well done with very concise commentary by Howard.

The whole marriage with BC Boys basketball and the Langley Events Center continues to impress me to no end. The LEC is helping put BC basketball on the national map with the technology they can provide. Glad to see that it is being embraced!

As for the seeding...tough all around.

If those are the seeds, and they look pretty good, the draw on the website must be wrong because it has a potential Pitt/Kelowna matchup in the quarter finals.

It is the tradition of the draw committee to NOT release the actual seedings so I do not know for sure but looking at the draw this would be my best guess:

The winner of Yale (#16) vs. Point Grey (#17) plays Kelowna (#1)
VC (#eight) vs. Belmont (#9)

The winner of Mt Doug (#13) vs. Caledonia (#20) plays Walnut Grove (#4)
Kits (#5) vs. Mouatt (#12)

The winner of Tupper (#15) vs. Coreliu (#18) plays Pitt Meadows (#2)
Oak Bay (#7) vs. Terry Fox (#10)

The winner of WRCA (#14) vs. Mount Baker (#19) plays St Georges (#3)
Tamanawis (#6) vs. Carson Graham (#11)

No they would not, I had the seeds backward in that match-up I have edited my original post as it should have had Oak Bay at #7 and Terry Fox at #10

Thanks for the link. What a great show! Very insightful. BC Basketball is alive and well. All the hoopla with lower mainland is just so insignificant compare to the bigger scheme of thing. I think teams heading into the provincial know that avoiding Kelowna is key. I’m sure that Saints will advance to the semi-final and so will Pitt.

The partnership with the LEC has really opened a lot of doors for the BC Boys Basketball program and for a group who get saddled with names like "dinosaurs" and "old school" I think they have really embraced all sorts of technology and state of the art communications to help get the game out into the public.

I was totally impressed with the production of the entire event last year and from what I am seeing and reading it looks like it's only going to get better this year with webcasting and the like. Add in live "replays" on the big screens with great graphics and audio production (loved the live coaches interviews going into halftime last year) and we have an event that is first class in Canada and I'm sure a few of our friends south of the border are envious as well.

I'm sure the partnership with TELUS has got to help financially so lets hope that they stay aboard and with any luck this sort of promotion can spread to the TELUS Classic as well.
