Mt Doug took WG to the wire a great game to watch(webcast for me) Jaden shot very efficiently, but I thought De'Sean's D was the difference.
He had 8 steals, but caused numerous turnovers as well. WG had to play a short bench the entire game it could be their undoing
later in the tournie.

Slater was too dominate for the Bays, the best I have seen him play all year, though I watched less than half of this game. Fox may have something to
prove after a little disappointment in the FV playoffs,

Irish have a solid start against Belmont, good to see Erikson back in action.

Belmont is holding their own against VC, if they can cut down on turnovers it would be a pretty even game.
VC is shooting horrible with the exception of Abu. VC is only playing 6 deep, not a good way to start a 4 game tournament.

Great game and online coverage. Kits/Mouat is the 2nd of 2 toss-ups

St. George's (62)
White Rock Christian - WG # 3 (63) OT

Wow, didn't catch the game but saw the score, OT victory for WRC, nice win for a team that seemed in flux after the coaching change late in the year, looks like it will set up another great game between Tammy and WRC in the quarters if Tammy can win tonite.

Elite 8 could be filled with a lot of rematches...Pitt/Fox(FV North), Tammy/WRCA(FV South), Mouat/Walnut(if Mouat wins..FV East) and Kelowna/VC..best Elite 8 game ever(both teams got screwed with that draw)

WOWWWW is all I can say..... some people on this board probably jumping up and down aha.

So does that mean if tammy wins their game that they'll face wrca for the 5th time this season. If thats true that has to be considered the best rivalry this year for BC teams

I feel sad for the St. Georges kid that missed the free throws though.. he'll remember them for a while and it probably feels terrible for him.

Not if they play like they did today they'll get thumped. I'm guessing they'll pick it up though.

Valley 4 and 0.. could go 6 and 0 if Tammy win.

WRCA over Tammy
Mouat over Grove
Pitt over Fox
Kelowna over VC

Newman is a beast and Tammy will have to shut him down, nice win WRCA over SG.
Has SG appealed or threatened with a lawsuit yet?
The return of TE has inspired Moaut.
Pitt got lucky against a tough Tupper team. Lack of leadership and bad TO's was their downfall.
Kelowna was on cruise control and did not have to put a lot of effort forth.
Abu carried VC for the first 3/4's otherwise VC was horrible.

I agree with the picks Fox, but like Sim pointed, any of these games could be decided on a coin toss. I am really surprised with these games taking place in the second round. How many times have these teams played this year? WRCA & Tammy - around 5? Pitt & Fox Kelowna and VC was this an oversight or the commitee's idea of a bad joke?

Full credit to VC but a terrible draw matching them up in the 2nd round instead of the semis.

Agreed. Kelowna deserved a better draw as the number 1 seed. These two teams shouldn't have met until semis or final. Funny how the draw works

It's often done by people that do not know what the current basketball landscape looks like.

Nothing against Carson - but ranking them higher than Mount Douglas? Please. That just show ignorance. It's been something that has frustrated me for years with the way the AAA draw is done..

Carson should've been playing on Tuesday. I haven't seen the Island teams play this year...but there's no way they should've been ranked at 11...higher than Mouat or WRCA. St.George's and Kits would've much rather played Carson than Mouat or WRCA. This year, Valley6 carries more weight than HS1.

A bit more common sense has to be used when evaluating teams. I think all the politics of the past month must've clouded some decisions. Kits should've not been higher than VC even though were LM2 and VC was LM3. VC was ranked 4th in the last rankings and had just beat 1-Kelowna and 3-St.Georges's before losing the LM Semis to St.George's. The team that got screwed was 1-Kelowna.

I just left LEC after the VC-Kelowna thriller...and I see Fox hammering Pitt. WTH??

Politics of the last month would have had NOTHING to do with the AAA draw.
