Not saying Raymond is a threat. But just to let you experts know Raymond finished 3rd in the south so the host bid would have been enough. And what about the years the south has 4 or 5 teams in the top ten and only receive 2 or 3 berths. Get over it the top teams from each zone will be represented.

Strange zone play off system on the losing side. Why would the 5th and 6th teams play each other and the 2 and 4 teams have to play. Should'nt it be set up so that 2 plays the 6th place team and 4th plays 5th. Seems to me Medicine Hat got the shaft and Raymond benefitted. Obviously that is how the draw is set up but why? Raymond is always a threat especially in their own gym- which they will probably get to play their first game in even though they are not officially hosting the boys side of things.

It seems to be a season of upsets.

Good teams that will be watching provincials this year include St FX (Edmonton), SWC (Calgary), Okotoks (South Central) and Medicine Hat (South) Crying or Very sad

Teams that nearly gave up their shot includes a fantastic Bishop O'Byrne (Calgary) team, although they bounced back by stomping Wisewood in the Bronze game pale

A good reminder that the season does not matter but who can bring it at Zones/City playoffs!

Ainley is in a good place to bring home another 4A banner (on top of football) but they haven't won it yet. Ask Raymond if that can happen (2 years ago they were heavily favored and forgot to play against Grandin). It only takes one unfocused game to end up as spectators at the gold medal game.

I suspect the seeds will be (zone) Basketball

#01 HA (E)
#02 Cardston (S)
#03 Notre Dame (C)
#04 JP (E)
#05 CCHS (S)
#06 Grandin (C)
#07 PK (E)
#08 Bert Church (SC)
#09 Bishop O'Byrne (C)
#10 Wisewood (E)
#11 Raymond (S)
#12 Strathcona (E)
#13 LCI (S)
#14 Hunting Hills (C)
#15 Lloydminister (NE)
#16 Grande Prairie (NW)

I couldn't find anything about the central zone so I can only assume it is Hunting Hills.

Have a great tournament everyone
