2009 @ The PNE Agrodome
St. George's (63) vs. Vancouver College (62)

Versus

2012 @ The Langley Events Centre
Terry Fox (75) vs. Walnut Grove (74)
Jesse Crookes with 3.4 seconds remaining

Which game winning shot was more memorable?

Eerie Similarities - If these game winning shots were not made, the winning baskets would have been scored by two fabulous underclassmen, Philip Scrubb for Vancouver College (Grade 11 in 2009) and Jadon Cohee for Walnut Grove (Grade 10 in 2012). Also, St. George's was down 8 in the 4th quarter before coming back. Terry Fox was down 9 in the 4th before coming back. And in both 2009 and 2012, no team held a double digit lead at any point during the Championship Game.

Historical note - In the 67-year history of the BC AAA Boys, there have been 6 championship games decided by 1 point, but 3 of those 6 games have happened in the last 6 years - Dover Bay (58) over Kitsilano (57) in 2007, St. George's in 2009 and Terry Fox in 2012.

Agreed, Thanks for the links, brings back all the great memories of the provincials at the Agrodome.

I have to say very similar shots, but I give Emerson a ton of credit, as he made that play happen for himself, everyone knew Emerson was taking that last shot for SG and he took it and nailed it, sweet jumper from the sideline. Hope Emerson all the best playing down south, great kid hope he see some PT so he can show off some of his North West Flair.

I will take Crooks final buzzer beater both great shots but Terry Fox's was typical of how they played the game . In that last 22 seconds all 5 boys on the floor touched the ball before Crooks broke Gator Nation's hearts ....
