Live stats don't seem to be working but saw an update on Twitter; BC and Manitoba tied up at 31 in the 2nd quarter.

Final Score:
BC 76 over MB 60

Jauquin Bennett-Boire 18 Pts 2 Stl 9 Reb
Arnold Macalipay 13 Pts(7-8 FT) 2 Stl 1 Reb
Taylor Browne 12 Pts 1 Ast 1 Blk 2 Stl 3 Reb

Looks like the BC guards were really running the show this game.
BC outrebounded MB 35-21
BC has an edge with point in the paint 36-20
But MB shot 9-18 from long range to BC's 2-13 from three/.

Score is correct and BC's guards pulled this one out. JBB played well and Arnold M had his best game of the summer. Nice timing. Player stats are incorrect as a new FIBA Live system has some teething problems - hopefully tomorrow it will be working.

Ontario tomorrow. Judging by the dismantling of a very strong Quebec team today, BC will have to play exceptionally well to win this one. Possible, but defense will need to be stellar.

Thanks for the info Mark, all your tweets are much appreciated as you and Elias are the only reliable eyes we got over there to know whats happening on the ground with the inaccurate FIBA LIVE stats, hope they can work it out soon. But thanks for keeping us up to date on things, Keep'em coming.

According to Basketball Quebec, the issues with live stats should be resolved for today's games.

Game#2 Premliminary Rounds
ON 87 over BC 72

BC led the whole first half by as much as 12 ending the half 39-34, using some stifling D and Guard penetration to take the lead.
But ON had a dominating 2nd half, outscoring BC by 20 in the half using their press and causing turnovers for some easy buckets.

Jauquin Bennett-Boire 20 pts 6 ast 3 reb 7 TO
Ethan Scott 14 pts 1 ast 2 red 2 TO
Joshua Charles 11 pts 1 ast 8 reb 3 TO
Cordell Parker 8 pts 1 ast 1 reb 2 TO

Looking at the stats BC had 20 to's with 11 in the first half and 9 in the second half, my guess is Ontario made BC pay for those 9 second half to's with easy lay-ups. Looks to me like BC's poor shooting cost them in the second half shooting only 32% to Ontario's 41% but the stat that is most glaring is BC did not go to the foul line in the 4th quarter and overall for the game Ontario was 23 for 34 from the foul line and BC only 16 for 22. Still a good showing from BC and should give them a positive outlook if they get to play them again. It would be great if Mark or anybody who was there could add anything

Not much to add really. It was a close and competitive game and Ontario played their top players for 30 mins +. Ontario can be beaten, but BC will need to play very well as they did for most of yesterday's game. Anthony Hokansen is injured (serious ankle sprain sustained in WG game) and not playing and Ethan Scott has been sick - he will be back and recovered tomorrow.

To get at Quebec in the semis, BC takes-on the winner of Saskatchewan and Newfoundland, who play today. Quebec is a very good team with three elite players. Their team drops off significantly after them, but it will be a real test for BC to get by Quebec to play Ontario again.

Quarter Final Game
BC 68 over SK 54

A solid game for BC with contributions from all providing a balanced attack. Another strong 1st Qtr showing holding SK to under 10 pts. and up as many as 19 in the 1st. SK got back in this one though from behind the arc hitting 8 3's in the game they got it down to a 2pt lead in the 3rd qtr, but in the 4th BC took command feasting in the post Josh Charles going for 8 of his 17 pts in the 4th.

Josh Charles 17 pts 5 reb 2 ast 2 blk
Taylor Browne 11 pts 4 reb 1 ast 1 stl 1blk
Ethan Scott 10 pts 3 reb 1 stl
Graham Smith 6 pts 5 reb 1 stl 1 blk

Next up for BC, Semi Final game vs. QU on Saturday, 5:15 PM (PST)
BC has played 2 good quarters in the each of the last two games vs. ON and SK, with a stingy Defense and balanced offensive attack but fell off in the second half vs ON and the 2nd and 3rd qtr. vs. SK, they will to have to play with the same intensity for 4 quarters to pull one out against a strong QU team.
