Teams I watched play, this is my opinion only...scores are a guestimate. Not sure if teams had their full complement of players.
Walnut grove
Played all players equally, Very talented team. Teams played
Kitsilano, Walnut grove played their entire bench equally, Kit’s had two of their starters almost play the entire game. Luka, being one of them. This game would not have been close otherwise. Walnut eventually won by 10-15 pts.
Oak bay , No contest Walnut won Easily 25-30pts
Cowichan, no contest Walnut won 30-40 pts
Pitt, Walnut won by 15pts note: Jordan Rich did not play
Mouat
Pitt, Mouat won by 12-16pts game was close for a while. Mouat played fifteen players equally and eventually their eventual season starters pulled away in the second half of their shift.
Oak Bay, Mouat won easily 15 pts
MEI, Mouat won easily 30-40 pts
Abby Collegiate, Mouat won easily 30pts
Walnut Grove lived up to their billing #1.
Mouat looked good and played at least 15 players in all games. Kits disappointed in my opinion. Had to play starters to stay close to Walnut Grove and still lost by 12 pts
Byrnes creek has talent and will upset some teams.
Clearly, Walnut and Mouat were the superior teams in this early season tournament.

Thanks for the reply, good to see some games being played, season can't come soon enough, Looks like Grove will be at the top of the mountain this yr, we'll see if anyone can knock them off, Grove is a deep squad and heard nothing but good things about Mayorga from ON apparently a real good shooter who does a little bit of everything, great pick-up for Coach Bergen.

Good update on the games. Anybody know how the WR looks and where/when they play. Also BB fanatic is right in his observation that Kits is disappointing for playing their big man and another player thoroughout the game. May be Kits want to make an early statement.

Whiterock plays at Yale on Nov end. Solid team, scrappy and unreal pace. Have more strong players than the well-known four pack. Going to surprise all top teams and built for championship. I think this is their year.

Now that will be an interesting game. I gather you meant Nov 2 2012? The word coming out of Yale is … They think they’re a top ten provincial team this year. White Rock should be a higher ranked team! So this game should have some questions, answered.

Heard about the chatter about Yale coming out from yale players. Little did they realize that their team is penciled in by many valley teams, particularly north delta, mouat to name a few.

I will just start a list of must-watch category of games:
1. Saints / VC series
2. Grove vs whiterock ( not sure they are scheduled)
3. Kits vs saints, VC & churchil
4. Mouat vs Yale
5. Wrca vs kits & Saints(program games)
6. Churchil vs Mouat

Go ahead and list it down

Heard from a couple of people that Kits beat WRCA in their own gym last night even though their big guy Luka did not play most of the game because of foul trouble.

Tamanawis beat Pitt by 25, heritage woods by 20 and b.south by 8, im guessing pitt was missing players since they got blown out

Is Pitt a strong Valley team year? They lost an abundance of talent to graduation, and don't seem to have as deep a team as yr's before, we all know Goulet will coach his team up as much as he can but I don't see the talent from Pitt to make a run at Provincials this year. I know that the Pitt Sr. team scrimmaged with CP gr.10's (with Cohee i believe also) and get dropped by 20 pts easy.

The problem with Pitt is that have yet to field there actual starting line up in a game.
Sho has been out, Marshall has been out and so have Rich and Canjura. Roberts
Has improved and they have some good grade 11s.....anyone who knows Pitt
Will tell u that injuries have not helped them so far in the preseason....

Did anyone stand out in the game?

Should Pitt be ranked at 8?

The problem pitt is facing at this moment is that their starting center has been out with injuries for most of the pre season. I heard that he might be back within the next few weeks, until then its very hard to rank pitt without their starting line up.

PostSubject: Pitt have solid line-up.....however    Wed Nov 28, 2012 6:12 pm

Without their big 6'8" centre they lack a threat in the post and
rebounding is suffering.....Pitt will solid when they field a full
Starting line-up.....per-season right now, but he needs to
Be healthy for Pitt to make it out of the Fraser valleys
