Jesus, I want to bring some objective analysis into your reply. If they're stand-outs then why are they playing junior especially since South was projected as a good team. Their participation would have made South even stronger and competitive for the AAA championships. Additionally, playing seniors would have certainly afforded them the opportunity to accelerate their development as there's a wide competitive and coaching margin between juniors and seniors. We've seen over the years especially in the past few that very talented juniors have moved up to play senior and represented themselves well and this year are some of the top players in the Province. Further, coaches have a responsibility to the player to develop them as much as possible especially those whose careers will continue at the next level. Look at other programs. For example, there is no way Mouat would have kept Tristan Etienne down nor Tammanawis with Sukhjot Bains and we all watched Cohee lead his team to the championship game. Something definitely isn't adding up here!

Thanks for the analysis, I'd love to further discuss the topic of player development and such but we should start a new post if you would like and keep this Topic to Game Scores.

Thanks for the intelligent discussion, your thought-out response is appreciated.

7th annual R.T. Bby Mountain Madness Tournament

Bby Mtn 61 over QE 41

Bby South 90 over Churchill 75
Martin Bogajev of Bby South goes for 47 Pts, hit 14 3's

Yale 84 over Tamanawis 82
Yale up 10-15 all game until last minutes. Yale was up 1 with the ball and 15 sec left lost the ball on the inbound and Tammy scored a transition layup to go up 1, last 5 seconds Yale brings it up court and puts up a 3 at the buzzer to win by two. Close, tough, grind it out game between two top teams.

Delta 63 over Claremont 53
After losing to AA#2 Holy Cross handily early in the week, Delta pulls out a couple of strong wins, upsetting AAA HM's Bby South and Claremont, but they will be in tough against AAA#2 Yale in the final Saturday.

What's happening to Burnaby South they are losing to everyone. Thought they had some strong juniors coming up.
Bby South Gr.10 stand-outs Jermaine Haley and Nic Trnicic are both playing Junior this season not playing up on the Senior squad as originally thought.
Haley should be playing up. Trnicic not ready. IMO.

I think pretty much the top 2 teams from Surrey are WRCA and Tamanawis. Any other teams?
I'm pretty sure the rcmp classic is on it's way too. I don't know the exact date but usually it' aound this time and we'll most likely see those 2 teams in the finals barring upsets. I remember last year's game was crazy with Tammy pulling out in ot.

RCMP Semis:

Tammy vs Lord T
WRCA vs Enver Ck

Its going be repeat of last years' final: Tammy vs WRCA. Hopefully same kind of battle as last year

Last year was Manny Dulay vs Jake Newman and Manny had great tournament was the tournament MVP.
This year its Tyus Allen vs Sukh Bains. Both are having great tournament so far. I think this year WRCA is going to win it and Allen is going get the MVP honours.

That is a stupid post Bird. White Rock plays a true team game where all 5 starters average at least 10 points per game. Tyus will penetrate if there is an openning, and he can score. But if Tammy keys on him, they will lose as white rock has plenty of scoringm Tammy has 2 players. White Rock more depth. If they do play, white 3ock will win by 15. (They wont be surprised again).

How do you get surprised by your biggest rival that you played 4 times last year?

Well, Tammy has beaten WRCA this season so don't count them out and they played each other 5 times last year so no surprises. But thaat being said i'm taking WRCA to win in a close game.

White Rock takes it 89-70. A great back and forth quarter and a half to start, but White Rock and more specifically Tyus Allen proved to be too much on this night. People all know about the skills Tyus has, but it was very impressive to see the intensity at which he kept going at Tammy's D. Tammy is the real deal for sure, but white rock clearly proved better tonight.
