i change it my bad

As for perdictions.....I am very unsure as to what is going to happen this year.. All i know is we have to play Anaily and Spruce Grove who will be awesome and very hard to beat.... Other then that my team is better then being the home team goat in the western tournament. afro However it should be fun good luck Western

Nice to see a little discussion on here Smile

From my perspective, Edmonton is going to be very tough in both leagues. We (Spruce Grove) played Paul Kane last night, and although we won it was a hard fought battle. Paul Kane will be competitive this year. I am sure there are a few other teams out there who will come out of the woodwork. To narrow down the contenders to a handful of teams is too difficult so early. The next 10 days will sort things out a little bit with higher hoops in Calgary, LCI, St. FX, Shep, and JP tournaments.

I think Ainley can be beat but i do not know who will do it. As for Paul kane beating the comets; no, but i would not look pass them. They are going to be good this year. They have 4 6'ers and they can all play. Also they have a player that will be tops in the league in scoring......... afro ....

Southfan....I don't think PK will have enough team speed or handle the pressure Raymond will throw at them well enough to knock them off, however it will be a decent game. St. Albert Catholic will be a tough 3A team this year...quick, scrappy, and well coached. They make up their lack of size with athletic girls who get after it and are not scared of anyone.
I am looking forward to hearing the scores from around the province this weekend!

Rareair after watching that game today I think that STA is going to be hard to beat. However, you guys are looking very deep. We (Scona) are playing at 8am tomorrow morning I can't wait to play O'leary i think it will be a good game.

FX results

since the "Live results" on the StFX site are not so live, here's what I know so far

Round 1 -
RS won a relatively close match against FX
OL won by 10 in a well played game against Scona
BF apparently walked all over BC. I thought BC was stronger.
JP vs LSL - still don't know but my money would be on JP

Round 2
OL comes a live in the second half vs RS. Wins handily 67 to 36
On the B side Scona gets their game on and shuts down FX 73 to 32
JP wins close one 75 to 69 over BF (expected the opposite result)

PostSubject: St. FX final   Sat Dec 05, 2009 7:25 pm

O'leary 55 JP 44
O'leary led most of the game, but JP made a run late in the 3rd quarter to make it a one point game. O'leary pulled away in the 4th. Adut (#12) for O'leary will be a force this year!

Dont remember the scores but here is a quick look at LCI tournament.
Cardston beat Raymond by about 10 in semi final.
Scarlett beat LCI by 3 in other semi final.
Raymond beat LCI in 3rd place game by about 40
Cardston beat Scarlett in final by about 10.
Scarlett played really well and Cardston did not, and both teams had lots of foul trouble.

I thought before going into this weekend that basketball was going to be tough, and coming out of the weekend i realize i was right. Shep is looking good as a team with a lot of new piece, Spruce Grove, is solid, O'Leary his a big time scoring post, STA is super quick as a team, Facey is going to be high scoring, JP has a few players that can play.......i can't wait to see all the other teams in our league. It is going to be fun....... afro
