Have not been to any games yet, but on the Junior side, there's been no surprises and the clear top 4 teams in Surrey have advanced to the Semi-Finals on Thursday;

Semiahmoo vs. Fleetwood Park
Tamanawis vs. Tweedsmuir

I don't see a lot separating these teams. I think on a given night any one of them could beat each other. Looks like they did a good job with the seeding to have the best 4 teams all in the semis!

There are some other decent teams in Surrey this year on the Junior Side - Kwantlen Park, North Surrey and Fraser Heights have played pretty well at times, but I expect the Surrey finals to come down to these same 4 teams.

Semifinals took place last night at the RCMP Classic.

In a bit of a surprise, Semihamoo won over Fleetwood 52-32. Not surprising that they won as they're a strong team, but in that they won by 20 points, and also that Fleetwood could only muster 32 points.

The second semi-final was much closer, as Tweedsmuir led Tamanawis by 7 at halftime, but Tammy hit some big shots in the 4th quarter, and used their size against Tweedy's smaller lineup to get some key 2nd chance points.

Final is Saturday, with Semi playing Tammy at noon, with Fleetwood playing Tweedsmuir for 3rd. Both should be good games.

If this tourney is any indication, Surrey playoffs should be exciting

Congrats to Semihamoo, who won the RCMP by defeating Tamanawis 49-48 in the Final

Fleetwood Park trailed for the much of the game but a few key turnovers and a late run to beat Lord Tweedsmuir 60-55.

I think on a given night any of these teams could beat the other.

Semi should win the Surreys. With the transfers from WRCA they have the strongest starting 5 in Surrey.

Tammy has the best fans in Surrey bar none! Kudos to the crowd for coming out and (loudly) supporting your team.

FP and Tweeds appeared to be playing their benches which would explain the back and forth. Not sure what the outcome would be if both teams played their starting 5 for the majority of the game.
