PostSubject: 2013 CIS/ACAC radar list   Wed Feb 13, 2013 3:58 pm

This topic deserves its own thread. Since there weren't many (none) responses to the last post, I sent some emails, a couple phone calls and got a bit of information on the "radar list" for 2013 Seniors. The consensus seems to be that this year is a down year from 2012 where a number of HS recruits went on to CIS and have made significant contributions in Canada West this year. Even still there are a number of players that are considered CIS and ACAC prospects for 2013. This is only a small sampling from very few coaches and a little bit south-centric although there are some from other areas probably based on tournaments they've played in or HS coach contacts. There are 4 CIS schools and 15 ACAC schools in Alberta so there is obviously a lot more. UofA is ranked #9 in the country for CIS, Briercrest Clippers are #1 in CCAA followed by Red Deer Kings at #4, Lethbridge Kodiaks at #11 and the Concordia Thunder at #14. With playoffs right around the corner, coaches are busy and recruiting will hit a high as time becomes more manageable. Here is what I have so far.

Emmet Cook, Already Committed - UofC

Joel Lutz - Cardston - 6'7" C
Projection: CIS

Dallas Hancox - Hunting Hills 6’7 PF/C
Projection: CIS

Brandan Karl - LCI 5'10" PG
Projection: CIS/ACAC

Chase Nielson - Cochrane 6'2" PG/SG
Projection: CIS/ACAC

Nico Pasquotti - CCHS 5'9" PG
Projection: CIS/ACAC

Colton Gibb - LCI - 6'2" SG
Projection: ACAC

Lincoln Anderson - Cardston 6'3" SF
Projection: ACAC

Malik Drummond - Airdrie, 6'8" C
Projection: ACAC

Jacob Moulton - Cochrane 6'6" SF
Projection: ACAC

Taner Parrington – Okotoks 6'7" C
Projection: ACAC

Again I know there are a lot more out there, especially Calgary and Edmonton who obviously have many potential recruits. Who else should be on this list? I really think Keanu Funa should be there. That's just my opinion but I'm sure he could effective at the next level.

PostSubject: Nathan Saby   Sun Feb 17, 2013 3:44 pm

Nathan Saby dropped 42 in a losing effort against Leduc 2 weeks ago. 6'3" scoring guard, who is an extremely versatile scorer. Big part of last years prov championship team. A lot less talent to play with this year but he is still keeping his team comptetitive
