Jordan Rich of Pitt Meadows averaged 39 pts /40 minute game (best in tournament - next closest was about 31 pts) and 17.78 rebounds (3rd) on the same basis. He shot 64.8% from the field (8th) and had 1.09 pts /shot (9th). He dominated the tournament statistically, yet I don't see him on any of the three all-star teams. I have never seen him play, so maybe I am missing something, but it seems he deserves credit for a fantastic tournament. Anyone have any insight here?

Jordan is a great player, no doubt, but he did not score 39 pts nor played 40 minutes per game, his game high is 32, average 22 pts and 10 boards per gamen. Being said, Pitts blew out Burnaby Mt. and Mt. Baker in early few minutes of their respective games and limited Jordan’s minutes.

Nevertheless, Jordan is amongst one of the top post player in BC and should be recognized.

I've watched Jordan all year and unfortunately in most cases he does not play like a 6 ft 8 inch player consistently . Take a look at who Pitt played this year in the provincials and that will give you a little insight into why he wasn't on any all star team .Same tjing happened last year with Smythe who scored a ton against very week opposition

FYI Mark was referencing "per 40" numbers, meaning by using Rich's 22.00 Point Avg., and 22.75 Minute Avg. you get approx. 39 Pts. per 40 Min. of play. Which means he was highly effective on the court with his minutes, and I agree with you, Jordan Rich was a top player in BC, it was unfortunate he had injuries in the beginning and the end of the season, he battled hard and would be a good pick-up at the next level considering his size and skill.

Thanks for clarifying that. The per 40 minutes is just another measure of effectiveness/productivity to compare players more fairly since per game numbers are not always useful. There are factors that should be considered such as level of competition (which has been pointed out). It might also be relatively easier to, say, rebound on a team with no other strong rebounders. I did use the stats from the tournament.

Anyone know if Jordan is being recruited for next level? It was nice to see him raise his game this season and have a very productive year especially since he played limited minutes on Pitt's stong team of last year.
