I think everyone is seriously underestimating St. George's

they have Ethan Scott and Marc Jacobs which is arguably the best 1-2 punch in the entire province
- they will only get better and I would not be suprised to see them make a VERY DEEP RUN at provincials this year

I don't think anyone has underestimated St.Georges as they are suitably posted as an honorable mention for the time being with losses to two top 10 schools in Sir Winston Churchill and Walnut Grove. I will assume that they will improve along with the other 60 or so teams. I believe you may receive a lot of arguments that Scott and Jacobs are arguably the best 1-2 punch in the Province. Although I'm not that familiar with Scott and Jacob I don't believe it would be a risky assumption that all the teams ranked above them in the top 10 would have some solid 1-2 punches of their own.

New rankings after this weekend?
As of Sunday Dec.08, 2013

1. Walnut Grove
2. WJ Mouat
3. Tamanawis
4. Gleneagle
5. Bby South
6. Churchill
7. Holy Cross
8. Sardis
9. Terry Fox
10. Yale

I kind of agree with your ranking although bit skeptical in moving Hawks behind Gators. I will not able to comment until they play each other off in January. But I have no major problem in taking this ranking home until December hibernation ends.

I see Coach Karn taking South all the way to 2nd spot which I will dismiss as too early. They have to beat tammy, Mouat or glenagle to earn that spot.  Bit off in my opinion.

Lots of very good tandems in the province and I wouldn't have made that claim myself. Not sure a deep run is in order either, but Disbrow will ensure the team makes big improvements. Beating VC will be tough and if they don't it'll be a short season - only one Vancouver independent is eligible to play in AAAAs each year.

How come? Is it a new development since last year? Throw some light please. 2 years ago, I remember seeing both VC and Saints at LEC.

I don't think it is new - same as last year. I have not been keeping up, but only one team each year is eligible even if they are the number one ranked team in the province. I really don't want to debate the issue, since it isn't changing and the arguments have been exhausted. The only way to deal with it now is to accept it or leave. I probably shouldn't have mentioned it.

Sorry. I am not interested in the politics either. I am bit ignorant here as I thought one victor between the two gets berth and the loser has to play series of games to earn the spot. Ignore my post also.

The season is over for the loser of the series between VC and Saints. Last yr it was VC, barely. Saints was third in AAAs.

Watch out for Pitt! Giving top 10 teams trouble last week and beating #1 Mouat tonight 66-59. Never count out a Goulet coached team.
