PostSubject: 2013-2014 Commitments   Thu Mar 21, 2013 1:06 am

Does anyone know where this year's group of graduates will be playing their post-secondary ball this year? Very Happy

So far we have:

JJ Pankratz - Yale - SFU
Elijah Hillis-Gold - South Kamloops - SFU
Tyus Allen - WRCA - TWU
Jordan Charles - Brentwood College - UVic
Cameron Smythe - Tupper (Cushing Academy) - Carleton

As we accumulate more player commitments I will add names to this list, just for convenience purposes....Out of respect for players, please do not post commitments unless they are official.

Wow, Alex Hart went D1?! According to hooplife, good players need to transfer to powerhouse basketball schools in order to get great coaching, develop as a player and get noticed by colleges.

Sarcasm, by the way.

Great opportunity for Alex Hart. Did not hear a lot about him as he played Single A, but at 6'11" he must have been highly scouted by NCAA and CIS.

With regards to Hard2thehole keep it in perspective that any player 6'10" and above with any skill has an excellent opportunity to play Div 1. Players of this size are few and far between and D1 programs will pursue these players agressively. You can't produce height! One other way of thinking about it is that Alex may have been further on in his development had he played AAA or regularly against large post-players. Look forward to seeing him grow and excel at Div 1 level.

Once you have committed to a university or college level, are you still able to play in your AAU Team?

Paarus Sahi (Lord Tweedsmuir/AthElite) has committed to the Alberta Golden Bears in the CIS. (via @Elias_NPH)
Great to see Paarus continue his basketball career in the CIS, he is an exciting player who can score from anywhere on the floor, great pick up.

Great pickup by Alberta Paarus is the bestt passer and a knockdown shooter! Also another player that went under the radar but a great pickup is Nick Jhauj (Enver Creek) by Coach Ebe! Overlooked because the team was strong at all 5 spots.

Last I heard, no he's not. He was trying to go to prep school in Washington state last year but spent the time training locally.
