BMHS beat Riverview by 27 last night looking like BMHS,Riverview and Miramichi Valley will all end up with 8-2 records. Not 100% sure but pretty sure the tiebreaker will fall this way.
1.BMHS 2.Riverview 3. Miramichi Valley 4.JMH

1. KV - Still top of the heap survived and acheived the grind of 3 playoff wins. Need to keep up this level for 3 more.

2. WHS - Looked dominant in AA regional with no one with 30 pts of them. Multiple wins vs the rest of the top 10 except KV almost locks them into this spot for now.

3. Sussex - Close but need to prove the can beat these other teams to take their shot at HS.

4. FHS - Seems to be the team off everyone's radar. Not sure what to expect from an FHS team that is suddenly the underdog??? but dangerous none the less.

5. Leo Hayes - Giving them this rating based on their performance and the inconsistent play in the NE think that right now they are the 4th best team in AAA but they need to prove it this weekend or their done and they'll drop in the final rankings.

6. BMHS - Big wins in the last couple of weeks. Got home court for sectionals and now need to take it to another level.

7. Riverview- Haven't been healthy, haven't been consistent. Time for living on potential is over need to show up and prove or be done.

8. MVHS - Big wins and a solid record in the NE. Not sure they have what it takes to move past the first rnd this weekend but they've shown up when doubted before.

9. RHS - 2nd best team in AA held on to 2 in the SW missing some key pieces. Big weekend for a team looking at a chance to get back to HS.

10. JCS - Back in the top 10. Clearly the best team in A right now.Win over Woodstock early is a big one on the resume. Tough to dump SJHS but they aren't playing this weekend.

Next 5 - SJHS, SVHS, Tantramar, Fundy, Caledonia

1 big weekend to go with little room for movement but still some.

1. KV - Finding ways to grind out wins seem to be putting it all together. Only obstacle is now handling the moment of the Final 12 and battling a peaking BMHS squad.

2. WHS - Hard to judge at this point but based on the fact that in 5 playoff games their average margin of victory has been 50+ They are rolling and peaking at the right time could very well win the Friday game if they were in that. I'll keep them here now unless BMHS gets the W at HS.

3. BMHS - Well I had them as a preseason top 4 then some early season struggles, tough conference and lack of games vs the other top 10's in Jan really kept them off the radar. They've hit their stride at the right time and are grinding out wins. Big step for them to get there, is that enough or can they find a way again.

T-4. FHS - You can call it injuries, distractions, transition to new coaches. This group just didn't get it done consistently enough all year. When they put it together they can play with anyone, but when they couldn't struggled. Some might argue that the real final was last weekend in KV but BMHS and Sussex are both equally deserving of being there and getting it done. This groups needs to refocus and reload for next year. There might be no pity for the Kitty in NB but its been a while since we've seen an FHS squad with something to prove.

T-4. Sussex - Young team took big strides this year and was right there all year long and to the end with the very best. They are young, fast and explosive at both ends. Group that can really keep growing into contenders/champs well into the future. Nothing for these girls to hang their heads about.

6. Leo Hayes - Just too up and down. When the were good they were great, but when they weren't didn't look at the same level as the rest of these teams. Needing to play great defense and get points out of your transition is just not going to happen every night against great competition. Lots of chances for this group to grow and keep developing. Will be there every year.

7. Riverview - Too much to deal with this year in terms of injuries, coaching change, developing a co-hesive identity. Had some moments but in the end wasn't really at the level of the teams above them on a regular basis.

8. MVHS - Didn't end well for Pulamoo (sp?) but it did show great growth in their program. Earned a 3 way tie for 1st in the NE and made them go to the math. Have a win to their name vs a Harbour Station finalist. Solid season

9. RHS - Finding ways to win. Sick, missing players. Haven't looked great down the stretch but their best players are putting the team on their back and finding ways to keep on moving forward. Back to Harbour Station again.

10. JCS - Have to be in the top 10. Just didn't get the chance to play the top teams enough to show that they could be better then this. MIght move them up if they dominate at HS but they definitely deserve to be here.

Next 5 - SJHS, Fundy, SVHS, JMH, TRHS

Solid Top Ten . KV has been the best team the majority of the season and deserve this ranking. Definitely the HS favourites and deservingly so. BMHS are peaking at the right time the coaching staff has been with this group since mini. Great coaching and a very solid team. Game may be closer then some expect. That said I will give the nod to KV. Also Riverview yes you deserve the 7th place ranking based on overall results and had an up and down season for various reasons but a good motivator is when you are on you can compete with anyone. I believe you are the only team who beat both HS finalists this year. Future should be bright.

KVs guard play will be too much for Bernice and with MacDonald and Baisley being able to shoot the lights out . it will be hard for the highlanders to handle. For them to win they will need to attack the net hard and look to get the crusaders in foul trouble and make them use their bench more. It should be an excellent game with both crowds being very loud

1. BMHS - No one saw this coming but they found a way. Won when it mattered I think its only fair to put them at the top of list for the end of 2014.

2. KV - Tough way to end the year after grinding out so many vcitories, just got ground down by injuries and moment at HS.

3. WHS - Looked like the best team in the province and times this year. I think a late Jan-Feb run against AA teams that they could control may have taken some edge off them but clearly belong here.

T-4. FHS - Underachieved in terms of expectations they always have but still a top level team that now has motivation for next year.

T-4. Sussex - Growing year in Sussex took them right to the end with the very best teams in the province bringing back all the key players next year for another go round.

6. LHHS
7.Riverview
8. MVHS
9. Rothesay
10. JCS

I had BMHs and Fhs, both we'll coached and deep enough to survive foul trouble or injury,
