So the RHS tourney had Woodstock mount a 12 point comeback to beat RHS in the final. Both teams going 3-0 in pool play RHS beating Hartland, Tantramar , and St. Stephen. Woodstock beating Sussex, JMA and Fundy. Also just to help put to rest the Hartland conversation they went 1-2 losing to Rothesay and Tantramar this weekend.

Rumor has it that Leo Hayes beat FHS last night by 10 and that FHS had its full squad. Leo should take over the top ranking if they keep this up. This weekend in Fredericton will be interesting as N.B.'s top 5 teams are in the tournament including FHS, Leo Hayes, KV, SJHS and Carleton North.

PostSubject: LHHS defeats FHS   Wed Dec 11, 2013 3:56 pm

LHHS played well, they have a good mix of speed and skill; FHS seemed stuck in first gear with exception of Stanley M who operates in overdrive, they have lots of bodies and if they can get roles all worked out should improve, if not one could say they have too many bodies; Nelson played maybe too much after missing 6 weeks; full marks to LHHS; interesting to see that both teams have exchange (?) students, Leo from Germany (can shoot), FHS (6'4"), from Israel, certainly both add depth. rematch Thursday at FHS, RC Classic lots of good ball,

PostSubject: Rematch FHS boys def LHHS BY LOTS!   Thu Dec 12, 2013 9:04 pm

LHHS looked young tonite will be fun to watch; FHS too much Nelson and Eddy while Stanley was Stanley, come watch him play! Javon Masters UNB loving Stanley; both games attracting university coaches should be fun weekend at RCotter Classic

Carleton North vs Woodstock in a league game tomorrow night. It's in CN, any thoughts?

Here's my top 5

1. FHS- Even though they have dropped a game to KV and twice to Leo Hayes, they won three blowouts over the weekend tournament and seem to be improving. Now that the two sidelined Canada Games players are back in the lineup, they have to be favorites from this point forward. FHS has proved they can win by big margins but struggle down the stretch when games are tight.

2. KVHS- Still undefeated in NB. This young squad has also been short staffed all season. Canada Games player, O'Neil, returned to the lineup this past weekend which adds size and grit. KV's balanced attack is fun to watch.

3. SJHS- Solid weekend in Fredericton. They have two very good bigs in Brown and Clark and great guard play in Rector. These guys have some swagger and the talent to play with N.B.'s top teams if locked in.

4. LHHS- Have to give them credit for beating FHS twice but inconsistencies hurt them over a disappointing weekend. When the 3-ball is dropping, anything is possible with this team.

5. Riverview- These guys are also improving and had an exciting come from behind win over LHHS at the tournament. This is a must see team for the amazing blocks and dunks.

Carleton North by 20+. Seriously, this should not be close.
