Would anyone be able to tell me the current standings on each side for league play?

Go to this web page:

http://www.nbiaa-asinb.org/page.php?page=430&menu=361

Select Sport, Class, and Conference to get the most recent standings. Sometimes the scores do not get posted the quickest, but they eventually make it there.

According to that website, Hartland defeated Woodstock 71-70. Does this change rankings for anybody?

Week before exams. Fundy boys lost to Rothesay by 5, beat Woodstock by 6.

Rothesay also beat Woodstock by 2 the week before exams. Thoughts?

Means a number of things:
- Rothesay and Fundy are probably 3-4 in AA basketball.
- Woodstock while causing matchup problems for CNHS style of play, when not up for an opponent is beatable because of their limtations.
- Keegan playing and playing well is what makes them special when they are.
- Woodstock doesn't have the depth to blow the doors off people so if you can hang around and make plays you can be in the game.
- Woodstock and CNHS should be the favorites still be that SW regional becomes more interesting and homecourt plays a much more significant role at sectionals. The NE section with the 2-4 from the west could be interesting too.
- Expect much more discussion about the regional format.

My mistake....but it still sounds like he was only partly there. Anyhow, I guess it will all get resolved shortly as those 4 teams will likely meet at regionals. The game to watch is next week in Woodstock vs CN. I believe CN will have to beat them by 11+ to gain home court advantage at regionals....should be a good one!

Woodstock has seemed to dominate Carleton north as far as what I've seen. CN needs to shut down Keegan and bench needs to play a bigger role for CN if they want to beat Woodstock, especially by 11+

I wouldn't say they have dominated them. They only won their last meeting by 2...I believe. I'm going to pick CN for this one by 15. I know I'm going out on a limb but I think they will want this one more

AA seems to be very close this year with 4 possible teams, in my opinion, having a chance at harbour station. Favourites are Carleton north and Woodstock but I wouldn't sleep on rothesay or fundy as they both shoot the ball very well

No they also lost by 40 plus to Fredericton JV. So does that change ranking for you?

Freddy JV also beat Fundy by over 50. Maybe we should start talking about them for the top 10.

In all honesty, if they were a varsity team, they would likely be very very close to the top!

I guarantee there are teams in that top ten they could easily beat by double digits. They are a well oiled machine and in the offensive end they move the ball as good as anyone, then pop its in. The defensive end they are like rabid dogs after a bone, and it isn't in spurts they are on you for 40 minutes period. They are a treat to watch, even if they are beating your team by 50 and who cares how old they are they are definitely top 10 in this province in any age group.

Fredericton defeated LHHS in the Mike Fitz game on Saturday although not by much. SJHS hosts KVHS tonight at 7:15 for first place in the south. This should be a good game if the Greyhounds come to play.

who does everyone have for predictions for final 12?

AAA Boys- KV Vs FHS - hell of a game this will be!

AA- WHS VS CNHS - another close game that could go either way

A - Hartland Vs Harvey - Hartland wins this easy

Notice these are the same teams as last year! however results could be different this year then last.

I agree with your predictions on AA...LHS might be there for AAA

In A, I still think its a 3 horse race and will depend drastically on the regional seedings...you can never count those islanders out nor Veysey

I agree with that statement.. I think it will come down too where grand manan and harvey play? I think Harvey will come out on top because it will be in their home gym. but i could be wrong..  cheers

Yes, interesting for 'A' boys

Hartland beat Harvey by 10+ at home, Harvey over Hartland by 3 in 2OT in Harvey.

Grand Manan beat Harvey three times (15, 30 -- exhibition; 10 -- league) then Harvey beat by 12 at home, which puts them first in the south.

Grand Manan and Hartland have not played this year.

Hartland likely to host Regionals as West top seed.

Sources from the game in Harvey vs Grand Manan said it ended in an unusual way , no whistle on the final foul shot that went hard off the backboard and not touching the rim...GM would have had an opportunity inbounding from their own end with less than 5secs down two on the point spread, too bad, but a scary thought that it can turnout that way. Seems like a pretty standard call to make.

Had the opportunity to watch Woodstock and CN in a close one tonight. In the end woodstock couldn't take care of the ball and turned it over multiple times and in the end it cost them the game.

My predictions for harbour this year: Woodstock and CN both go to harbour again but one of them will be paying admission this time
