I have no idea what the extent of the issue is about, but I do think that it has to be applied consistently. The tournament we were at had 5 teams representing schools or areas. 2 of them had sets of tops the'd had to borrow from minor associations or purchased souly for club/age class basketball. The other 3 were all wearing school uniforms.
Now I don't care one or the other at this point, but schools saying no you can't its against NBIAA policy and others letting you go ahead and do it and saying its ultimately up to individual schools just doesn't seem right at all.
I suppose like most things there are bound to be loop holes and extenuating circumstances but it just feels like another case of different rules for different people, that has been an ongoing problem with policies and rules being applied by the NBIAA recently. Now it may not be the NBIAA's fault as much as administrators interpreting or or applying rules differently, but the NBIAA certainly takes the brunt when someone says that they are they reason things can or can't happen.
