Do you have an article, tweet or anything concrete to confirm this?

I don't have any info on that, but it seems like it could be good possibility. He played extremely well down the stretch and probably has attracted a lot more attention because of it.

He is expected to redshirt next year.

Also, 7'1" Matt Hayashi is going to TWU. Was at WRCA for a bit, but currently at Churchill HS in Eugene, OR.

I heard he doesn't really have a choice as his grades are not good enough to get into UBC...don't think he is good enough to play down south on the perimeter with his foot speed and not big enough to be a post player at 6'5. His game is more suited for the CIS and UBC would have been the best fit since they will be hosting nationals in a couple of years and getting automatic bids. It's a shame when players focus all of their efforts on just ball and don't hit the books. Hopefully this is not the case and it's just a rumour.

I have not heard anything definite but after talking to a few local BC Basketball pundits the last few weeks I believe he does not have an official D1 offer that I know of, but strong interest from a few D1 schools, many CIS schools I hear are very heavily interested but I believe he is looking at D1 as his goal and could possibly go prep next year in the US to expand his visibility and exposure if nothing opens up during the spring/summer club circuit.

As NPH, The Province and other basketball outlets have stated Sukhjot Bains is the top uncommited BC 2014 prospect, he is a highly skilled wing, would be a great CIS player IMO, a low/mid-major D1 prospect in the right school, hopefully he gets to his ultimate goal which I believe is Division 1 basketball, he is a warrior on the court, a quiet assassin who had a great run in his BC HS basketball career.

Please do not put down or call someone "retarded". I don't know if your a player or former player and have a personal grudge with Mindy, but this has to stop. This is not the first thread you have abused Mindy on, but I hope the moderator sees this, deletes your comments and removes you from this forum. This has to stop. Very Happy

There are a lot of talented kids in Victoria that aren't getting enough attention as they should , such as 6"3 guard Adam Benrabah from mount Doug , 6"2 guard jaamel slack from Claremont and Ismail Abdulahi from Lambrick pack all 3 deserve to be in the BC's top 25

Most of the people that are attacking Mindy recently have been affiliates of Tamanawis or actual players from Tamanawis. I guess they are having a hard time getting over the fact that they lost and now have turned to bashing other players.

Over the years the premier players have received a lot of praise as well as criticism. No doubt it comes with the territory of being an exceptional player and by those who perceive themselves as sophisticated and competent player evaluators. I'm certain Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker are receiving some criticism from their early exits and lacklustre performances, but one thing can't be argued is that they are talented, and how the remainder of their careers turn out depends what they are willing to do.

As part of this Forum everyone is allotted the opportunity to share their opinion, but crossing that ethical line is unacceptable because of personal vendettas, envy, or lack of total of objectivity. Say what you want but as HS players Mindy and others have excelled and have had significant achievements. Where they play next and how they do is uncertain and purely speculative if you have an opinion on the matter, but what they have accomplished is undeniable and no one and I don't care what your allegiances, has the right to demean these kids. If you’re a current player with an axe to grind, here's a strong piece of advice. Instead of spending time throwing barbs go work on your game and be the best player you can be.

Is it cuz tamanwis is majority brown and u just wanna target the sikh community? You my friend need to stop bashing the sikh community, i dont think they would be very pleased if they found out you were calling them out on hooplife. Thanks for coming out!

HEY JESUS SHUTTLESWORTH, why'd you call out that other guy in the Minday Minhas topic for calling him names yet you didn say anything when hoopsking12 started calling Manny Dulay names and judging him, calling him a classless stupid act! Do you discriminate against people from tamanawis ? You arent a basketball aficionado, if you truly were you wouldnt be bias and you would be fair to each side. You wrote "The HoopLife forums are for intelligent, friendly basketball talk, please try to keep out personal attacks from the board when possible." hoopsking12 attacked manny dulay and you ignored it and didnt say anything. Why are you discriminating against tamanawis. What moral highground DO YOU stand on when you are bias.
