I guess it depends on what you mean by "next level". I'll assume you mean CIS as the next level. Here are my thoughts on the boys in the class of 2014.

Players I think are ready now...

1) Dan Luton (FHS 6'5" forward) - Needs to add to his perimeter skills but can definitely play the 4 at the CIS level given the current trend of small-ball in the AUS.

2) Brad Sanford (KVHS 6'4" wing) - Needs to get stronger but has the length and shooting ranging to be a very effective wing (2 or 3 man).

There are others that have the skill but probably need time to develop and would need to find the right fit. These guys could be good CIS players in time but would be very strong CCAA players right away...

- Morgan Tatlock (BMHS 6'3" forward) - athletic enough but needs to become a guard at the CIS level.
- Kyle McCluskey (Riverview 6'1" guard) - probably playing CIS football instead.
- Sawyer Eddy (FHS 6'1" guard) - will his knee hold up to the rigors of CIS hoops?
- Chris Arisz (FHS 6'8" post) - Big body that every coach wants.
- Costa Kolyvas (Athlete Institute 5'11" guard) - has really improved his jumper after 1 year of playing prep.
- Mike Armstrong (Athlete Institute 6'10" post) - Big body but has he added a post game???

The remaining 8-10 guys on my depth chart would all be solid CCAA players.

While all these kids mentioned can play at the next level I think a number of the ones mentioned as AUS/CIS players would probably be better suited to small college circuit if that would match their academic goals.

Also the CCAA thing is a bit of a mixed bag since there is a dramatic differnce between being able to play for someone like STU or St. Foy and being able to play for Crandall, Sault or Dal AC.

Other potential small college players on the girls side:
- Chelsey Hanson (already going to to Redeemer in Ontario I think)
- Maddy Stevens
- Sarah Armstrong
- Emily Nicholson (Depending on her knee rehab)
- ??? Hunt - WHS
- Gillian Grant
- Danielle Park

Supply and demand there are more women's teams than quality players so players willing to consider Cis teams that are struggling can play, certainly not all going to Smu, same at ccaa level as you say.
On another subject anyone any insight into the situation at X, hearing that Vanessa Pickard, Has been released!
