Thought BNB had a residency rule that would prevent areas joining together to make all-star teams. It would make sense as more registrations would probably be received. Going up against all-stars must deter certain areas, that just want to use their own players, from signing on. Having Hartland, Woodstock, Carleton join together for one team seems abit much where they could use local players and have 3 teams. Sounds like there may not be enough basketballs on that team when the game begins. I do understand they will all play in the top category against the city schools but with only a handful of teams. Good luck with it all and the players left off these teams cheer loudly and write thank you notes to the coach for being asked to play.

I think traditionally in midget and juvenile, BNB has allowed smaller regions to combine. You may only have 4-5 members of a team who want to do spring basketball in smaller towns so they combine with other towns and villages to create a team.

There is no longer a residency rule in New Brunswick (http://www.basketball.nb.ca/app/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=g7FSiqvfOQA%3d&tabid=76&language=en-US) so players can play where they want to play in any age group.

Good thing small town players from Fredericton/Moncton felt the need to get 8 of last seasons U15 boys team together for one midget team.

Really? The provincial team entered our provincial tournament? They must be so proud of their accomplishment of representing their province by...ah... winning the provincial title. Does this not seem a little ridiculous? What's next, is the U17 national team going to enter the national tournament in Edmonton this summer.

Players from Woodstock, Carleton North and Hartland are forming another Carleton County team this year. Don't have to worry about academics with BNB!

BNB has divisions for midget and juvenile posted now. Greater Moncton doesn't have a team in, but the other 4 are there.
