Is this the full team for BBC U16? What happened to Gabriel Laza, Tristan Matthews, Wei Chung, Issac Evans? Are they playing for another club?

Thanks for the update coach. I was there with my son (Drive U15 ) and was impressed with the calibre this year. This was Drive's 1st event of the summer and it usually takes a month to catch up to the US teams who have been playing for 2 months. Most US teams have played 20+ games already. Drive has many new players playing Elite this year and it will take a few games to jell and get used to each other. I think that most, if not all, of the top grade 9's in the LM are playing Drive this year and they will win their fair share of games and will compete for some Platnium bracket wins by the end of the summer. It's going to be lots of fun to watch games this year as we are back in Seattle this coming weekend with future trips to Oregon, Los Angeles and Las Vegas to end the season. Congrats to all the players and coaches who are putting in the work to further advance Canadian basketball. It doesn't matter where you play, just play.

Although this is a Jr. team I didn't want to start a new thread

Basketball BC U15 "Blue"
Jaden Touchie, Oak Bay
Jordan Gladstone, Dover Bay
Jason Tantengco, Killarney
Sam Bailey, Vancouver College
Grant Sheppard, Kelowna
Mason Bourcier, Kelowna
Fardaws Aimaq, Steveston-London
Michael Chany, Notre Dame
Yoel Teclehaimanot, King George
Andrew Goertzen, Walnut Grove
Dean Harris, Carson Graham
Nathan Humes, Kelowna

Their first tournament is the Cloud 9 Summer Jam in Lyden, WA July 5-6 and they finish off with the National Championships in Edmonton July 25-30. This team should definitely be able to compete at Nationals with good size up front and big guards in Jaden, Jordan, Mason and Jason (all of whom can play both guards spots from what I've seen).

This is somewhat inaccurate. Drive had U17's, two U16's, BBC one U16, 3D two U16's, and Vancouver Sports Club U17's.

Drive U17 - went 2-2 (Platinum Div.)
Drive U16 Elite 1 - went 3-1 (Gold - lost in semis to EBC)
Drive U16 Elite 2 - went 2-2 (Gold - lost to Drive Elite I)
Van Sports Club - went 1-3 (Gold)
3D Elite 1 - went 3-1 (Gold - lost in semis to Rotary III)
3D Elite 2 - went 2-2 (Silver Div.)

Rotary I over Rotary II in Platinum Final
Rotary III over EBC in Gold Final

I would like to see this team play the DRIVE U15 team. Will they be in either of the DRIVE tourneys in June? I know it says 1st event isn't until July5-6 but surely it would make sense to get some games in earlier than that. Will they be in any US tourneys together?

My understanding is they practice almost daily once school's out but I'm not sure if they plan scrimmages as they do have a U15 "Red' team as well (not sure what that roster's like). I agree with you, I'd like to see that matchup and I believe all the Vancouver club teams will be at the next NW Premier tournament in Bellevue in mid-July.

Coach Ebe and/or someone else who is closer to the team can back this up but Jomari Reyes will be playing with the BBC U17 team per his father.

Kosia Cauw is no longer with the team so I believe that Jomari has been named as his replacement.
