Nice tourney with many of the top teams in Province. Right side of draw is tough!

Certainly not clear cut but my prediction of semis is Heritage Versus Kits and Burnaby South Versus Fox.

Agreed, the right side of the draw looks extremely tough, but overall a good quality draw with so many good teams involved.
I also foresee a HW, Kits, Bby South and Fox Semis.
HW and Kits will be a good match up but I think HWs homecourt will help them move to the final.
South and Fox will be an early battle between who I believe are the two top teams in the province, but this early in the season, I think Fox has the edge as they trains year around and there Srs having been playing together for 3 years at the Sr level, not much change as with Bby South who will be going in to start the season with a new head coach and new depth players/transfers.
I have a HW and Fox Final and Fox win.

Some excellent games so far in probably the premier tournament this year (besides provincials) given the # of high end teams. Would have been great to have WG and Kelowna in as well. Hope this quality continues in future years. Also, hope for some on-line streaming of games and a bit more of an even tourney draw (right side is significantly stronger IMO which prevents top teams fighting it out at the end).

Is there anyone with some updates about the games? Thanks to sports Victoria for game results, but was looking for some feedback on the games. Obviously some outstanding games and many predictions gone astray.

Saw both semi games last night HW vs Oak Bay could've gone either way with some key shots made at the end of the game .

Fox vs South saw Haley scoring 40 and Fox not having an answer for his size and athleticism as fox's stud is still recovering from a concussion . Unfortunately for south they are a 2 player team and with weak coaching will finish the year like every other with a second round loss at the provincials .

A number of players stood out (many of the familiar names)

- Haley - BS
- Baptiste - BS
- Bennett-Boire - Yale
- Gray - Oak Bay
- Smith - Pitt
- Parker - Heritage
- Tubbs - Mt. Boucherie
- Wang - Kits
- Reyes - Fox
- Hancock - Fox
- Liu - Churchill
- McAlpine - VC (often hard to choose from VC - lots of good players who work well as team)

I only caught a bit of Yale but Riley Braich deservers a lot of credit for what he's doing next to JBB. Based on tweets by their assistant, those two are carrying the offensive load for the Lions.

Some other names:
Jordan Lum-Tong (VC) - tough kid, does everything for his team
Matija Gabrillo (SWC) - had some big blocks and made some nice outlet passes, very vocal and seems much more focused this year
Rysen John (VC) - presence on both end and had a solid double double against Burnaby South
Lambert Pajayon & Karn Virk (SWC) had some really good stretches on offense - the "Big 3 of 2016" look comfortable out there despite Gary on the bench and Izaiah in Kansas
Madhu McConnell (Oak Bay)
Based on tweets by Mark, Keegan Konn and Taylor Browne have continued their strong play for HC

Not a "top player" but #24 on Burnaby South deserves some credit, he made some plays in the limited minutes he was given against VC and Fox.
