PostSubject: If you were there... Players on both teams got off their benches... that's all that the parents were trying to get across to the refs... GOES BOTH WAYS !!!   Thu Jan 21, 2010 10:34 am

I just think its a shame that's game was called off. Definetly UMRHS isn't all innocent in the case. Players leaving the bench should b suspended, learn to control your emotions, also parents. Grow up its a basketball game, crap happens. And to the ref, grow up aswell and quit trying to live your life through high school basketball players and the next time u call players fat a?: and other names, take a look in the mirror and grow a pair. Whatever the outcome, this I know, both teams will grow and learn from this experience.

Also its great to c everyone here! We don't need the old hooplife page anymore. We can all just come here to argue!

PostSubject: you have to remember .... UMRHS has already beaten ECB three times prior to this game.. The boys were way off..... They were not on their game... Perhaps.. maybe because of what happened the day before in Sugarloaf... Just thinking..   Thu Jan 21, 2010 10:36 am

He was talking about UMRHS's worst game not their best. The game tonight was by far their worst performance yet. Bunny shot after bunny shot missed, easy shots that are usually never missed by this team just weren't dropping for them today.

Well that pretty much clinches a playoff spot for Campo, a matchup with Devon Park at Rgionals would be a fantastic 1 vs 4 matchup.

Great game to be played tomorrow. Devon Park plays McAdam at the South gym at UNB tomorrow at noon. What a great showdown between 2 top contenders. Alot will be decided this weekend with a lot of games to be played.

Yeah that would be a good game to watch, big game in Sailsbury also, with the final play off spot in the east up for grabs.

Mcadam beats devon park by 8. Huge comeback by devon park but they ran out of time.

Was in Campbellton today for a Middle School Tournament and was told (by someone who would know) that the decision has been made and the Sugarloaf / UMRHS game will stand as played. Sugarloaf win by 21 (or 22 I forget the exact score they said). The UMRHS player who left the bench got a suspension of some sort as well but I was not told how long or given any details on that.

The same was said about UMRHS when word went around about them playing Harvey. Turned out that they lost to Harvey by 8 the first time then the second time they beat Harvey in their home gym. Not going to say the they`re going to blow them out of the water or anything. As for it being said about the suspension of the player who got up off the bench from umrhs that`s not true. He didn`t have any form of suspension. Played against Stanley last night with all their players

The north will probably end up like this

1Sugarloaf
2UMRHS/ECB
3ECB/UMRHS
4Stanley

Sugarloaf was given the win in the game played last weekend.no suspension were given so we can all move on!!

Hmmmmm....just checked my sources which are fairly reliable NBIAA people and they said the player was definitely suspended , so if he played vs Stanley , then Stanley can claim the win and UMRHS will face a suspension from further play...

....also heard another rumour , and that what it is , just a rumour.......not a really reliable source out of F'ton with nbiaa connections....but what the hell....

SSHS has to go into UMRHS on Sat and the school has expressed concerns for their safety there and are asking for some NBIAA and or other type of security ....UMRHS has a rep for players being out of control ....rookie Coach tries but players have little respect for him or their schools reputation or team pride (or NBIAA rules if that suspended player played this weekend)...if the parents can act the way they did in sshs , god knows what they will do at home..
