Ainlay should breeze through their side of the draw. The other side should have some fantastic basketball! Road Trip??

Do not under estimate Magrath - just ask Cardston

These games have good potential but I'm predicting SWC to stay undefeated winning this tournament

Doesn't look like it. I can't even find the draw on their website.

Hopefully someone comes on here to update scores.

Maybe they should ask for help from Magrath or Cardston on how to do this. Twisted Evil

Perhaps they are too busying figuring out how not to place 8th in this field.

I was able to find that LCI was streaming their own game. They beat swc by 8. Big changes in rankings coming the south has to move up with Cardston beating Lci and then magrath veatingn Cardston and now Lci beating the top seeded team. Perhaps it'll take some time for the top teams to really flush themselves out.

Well Cardston just beat Shep by 17, so much for the south being so weak. They just took down #1 and #4,

Didn't Chestermere just beat Cardston at their own tournament? How good is Chestermere a 3A school if they can beat Cardston by 13 points in Cardston?

I believe that as this season progresses we'll see southern alberta teams gain momentum. I still think LCI and HA will battle it out for top spot before the end of the season.

WC had a good tournament in Airdrie last weekend and had big wins against teams from Calgary and Edmonton although they lost badly in a bit of a let down in the finals to an extremely talented team from Golden, BC. I wouldn't be surprised to see 3 or even 4 southern alberta teams in the top 10 next ranking period and a couple more as HM.

Swchs lost it in the third qtr.. No team play in third qtr by two selfish players Matt and Derian. Coaches should have pulled both of them off. Swchs should have easily won this game, they were up by 15 at the half.

Some good ball this weekend. These games should help with some regional cross over scores too. The LCI/HA championship game was close and we got to see some strengths and weakness of both teams. I think a closely called game with a lot of fouls called works against LCI. They need Mason and Seran on the floor and while HA needs Awak and Adher on the floor, those two are less likely to get into foul trouble. LCI coaches also need to see who strength is in the supporting cast when they're in close games. If they can put glue guys on the floor with Mason and Seran who will defend without requiring a lot of help, see the floor on help D and recognize openings on offense and then create for others, LCI will take off and surpass HA by the end of the year.

Sugar Bowl was actually a blast! There were great upsets and everyone got to see some awesome talent! It shows that that the whole province is pretty equal across the board. Six out of 8 teams in the field were ranked and that made it interesting to say the least. When #1 and #3 were both on the loser side after day one it shows that there is parody overall. There will be tons of upsets this year from top to bottom and that championship game was awesome to watch. Mason Gibb took it as a personal challenge to play Defence and be a threat. The LCI subs played hard and aggressive throughout and they took their Cardston game and even upped their intensity more.
Really wish they had of streamed the games online as others in the province could see what great athletes we have and how awesome this tournament really was. the gym was full for the final with only one local team there; and shows how supportive southern Alberta really is. Congratulations to all teams on a great weekend!

It was a packed house this year and a great atmosphere. Did they not stream it because they were starting to lose southern alberta area fans who would normally attend but decided to watch it online instead of making the trek to Raymond?

they had streaming issues. I guess the person in charge of the streaming didn't really investigate too much. I was rather disappointed that they didn't. Cardston and Magrath did a fantastic job streaming. I have said for years they should give credits to students do it for a technology or computer class. I liked how Magrath did it through You tube as you can still go back and watch the games.
