Super impressed with Thomas from JP but Seran way too much for anyone on JP to handle. Thomas gave it his all, just not enough. LCI is looking strong. Cardston and Magrath have had impressive games too. Just judging from match ups its been a dream for Cardston that should get them to the finals. Magrath gutted one out and you have to give them credit. Tim has been a rock for the most part of the season and while he isn't perfect he's still their guy. Should be great games tomorrow with some interesting match ups!

I really thought EM would have given OL a shot and no one was expecting JP to pull that game out of the fire from SWC in the last few minutes but other than that I think its gone as I expected.

That is the understatement of the year. Magrath would not have been able to keep up with BM in any way, shape or form. Cardston is completely different. Despite the losses earlier this year I still think Cardston will still end up in the finals and the best case scenario for Cardston is to see LCI. I think they're in tough either way but the HA match ups will make it that much tougher.

12321 I would like to see your NCAA bracket cause your picks here were spot on. There seems to be such shock from many groups that the south holds 3 spots in the semis. Why are we still underestimating the south? Look back to the first rankings, Lci was 10, and card and magrath were hm. I know the first ranking is tough and means little but my point is that from the start it was assumed that he south was weak. And then Lci and magrath both beat swc at sugar bowl and Cardston beats shep. Then Cardston beats mcnally and BOB and everyone is shocked. How could Cardston beat mcnally after they beat up on Lci? Then people say how Lci has t played a strong schedule and haven't beat enough top ten teams. Not really true. Then they give shep the 1 seed because they beat ainlay in the city final. Why did lci not get the 1? They hadn't lost to anyone in that period. Could it be because there was an assumption in general that the semis would be mcnally v shep and then ainlay and lci with ainlay to take on either shep or mcnally in the final? Even now no one thinks lci will beat ainlay outside of some south people and lci fans. Really outside of ainlay the edmonton zone just wasn't that great this year. Lots of teams can win a game or two here and there and shep caught ainlay at the wrong time and came out with a win. I posted earlier that the 1 seed would not be the champ and that came true very early. And outside of bishop mcnally Calgary wasn't that great either. BOB was ranked so high all year and then they come out and get stomped by magrath who never hardly budged from the 9 spot. Granted it's been a difficult year to rank as many teams showed at different times they were capable of playing with the best. But 12321 you know your way around the province and great to see someone give the south the credit that it deserves.

South has been very impressive to say the least; Calgary for all their hype ended as usual.. Out early! 3/4 south teams is a great accomplishment and the whole south league should be very proud. Really convinced they had no love from the rankers all season and proved once again their strength of scheledule.
I was disappointed that no streaming was from the stfx games but all and all I have enjoyed the games. Lci and ainley could be the championship game but let's see how it works out. Excited to watch 3 south teams in semis.

12321 Spot on all year. Impressive. And you know your players. Every ranking your predictions are nearly perfect. HTA just lost to Wetaskwin. No one could predict that. Crazy shots falling. Unreal. Any predictions of the 3A semis and finals?

Congratulations to Wetaskiwin and their fans on a great game. While it is a devastating loss for us, I give Wetaskiwin all the credit in the world for their performance. I wish them luck the rest of the way.

SWC down to EM by 10 at the half. SWC seems to play really young. Does anyone know how many they have coming back? Obviously the really little point guard who is dynamic, flashy and clearly dribbles way too much, but it looks like there are a few.

Wrong thread 3A boys. I saw HTA play at St Francis and while the size and talent were obvious, they were a little undisciplined as team and were not deep. I thought they were over-ranked then but they seemed to step it up after that and earned their high seed. Even still, they shouldn't have lost to Wetaskiwin but throw a scrappy deep team at them and that was always a possibility.

My bracket isn't great. 92.3% tied with 894008 other people.

The second semi final was the best game of the year. Packed house, great atmosphere, good coaching and the 2 best teams and the 2 best players in Alberta, Seran and Aher, matching up all game long. OT was bonus and Aher's jumper with 5 seconds left was the killer. You have to feel bad for Mason who missed the FT with .7 left. A tough break but a good call for him to drive on the last play of the game and get to the line. That was really the championship game. I don't think Cardston will offer much resistance in the finals and HA should go 2 straight. Too bad that wasn't tonight's game. LCI should pummel Magrath in the bronze but after a loss like that watch out for a let down.

No other huge surprises. JP put on a great tournament.

Last nights HA/LCI game was the final. Those two teams were/are the best in the province, with the best players in the province. HA LCI beat each other up pretty good which is gonna leave HA vulnerable to Cardston tonight. I predict the title will head south.

Magrath to win the third place game as it was obvious as the Lethbridge kids walked past last night they were wishing they could walk straight to the bus and head home.

Mr white obviously Cardston fan; but I do agree HA is vulnerable and last night was the final. Lci has a deeper team in fact I thought EricLewis stepped up and wanted that game. He pretty much carried LCI in the second half; nonetheless it was a great game and if cardston lures HA into shooting 3s it very well could be as you say. I think HA is deeper but could be emotionally wasted!
