How do they leap frog Raymond who they lost to last weekend? Calgary teams are very equal so it will be interesting; it's a good thing we have another week to see how things pan out.
ND is good hard nose team who can play D!

Absolutely. Head to Head always carries more weight.

Edmonton is pretty clear. HA is still #1. O'Leary must fall to 6-9. Raymond, Cardston, and LCI stay right in the low to middle of the pack. Calgary is a mess! Not sure how you rank them. Some very good teams but they are all very close. Hopefully we see some meaningful league games prior to the next ranking.

ND lost to Lacombe and SWC in Calgary league. Today and tomorrow good match up SWC vs BM and ND vs LBP. It will give more clear picture in North.

My opinion it is Raymond. First team from south.

I think raymond is the best team from south the issue is calgary has looked like it is the best zone and should have the number 2 team such as bob who beat raymond

If BOB did not loose couple last games then no doubt BOB would be solid second. But they lost to EM and ND. Raymond beat BM and ND and lost BOB in close game. Cardston beat ND, LCI beat SWC.

The Comets are the best team in the south and they deserve the #2. Calgary is probably the best zone but that doesn't mean they should automatically get the second spot.

Who do you put ahead of Raymond then Truthofthesouth? BOB lost two big games this week; Raymond beat ND and Mcnally twice... LCI beat SWC and LCI hasnt beat Raymond? Its a tough choice but after TRI-Prov this weekend; things could shake out a little more.
If Westwind had his way Med HAT would be up there.....

Is #2 reserved for south:) None of south teams made to finals in Bobcat Bowl.
Based on superb competition 2-5 spots belong to Calgary in whatever order. Even #1 spot is not out of grab for Calgary teams HA hasn't been tested by Calgary competition yet.

For an outside perspective, North Pole Hoops posted their Canadian High School rankings yesterday with the following western teams ranked:
#3 Kelowna
#10 Winston Churchill (Vancouver)
#12 John Taylor (Winnipeg)
#15 Harry Ainlay
#17 Archbishop O'Leary
#24 Walnut Grove (Langley, BC)
#25 Bishop O'Byrne.
All pretty reasonable, except O'Leary has probably played themselves out of the top 25 in the last week.
Couple of observations;
1. Kelowna is the best team I've seen come out of the west in a long time, so I would not discount how good Ainlay is as they have played them relatively close -- within 20 points, about the same as the next few top BC teams.
2. In the NPH rankings they list win-loss records, only games against Canadian HS teams, and you can see that teams in Ontario, the Maritimes and BC play way more games than Alberta teams -- as much as double in some cases. Points to a lot of room for overall development of Alberta basketball.

@ ball501

I agree. Calgary should be 2-5. Notre Dame, BOB, McNally, Pearson, and SWC. Even Father Lacombe and Western could be up for top 10 or HM.

I feel like people are missing the big picture here. I'm not sure of exact scores, but I know Raymond has beat McNally twice, they lost to BOB in a close one and beat ND. Cardston has 1 point losses to SWC and Mcnally and beat ND by 1. LCI just beat Western by 20, has beat SWC both times they played and beat Father Lacombe by 15.

Am I missing something here as to why Calgary thinks they should be #2-5? Am I unaware of some games that Calgary has showed their dominance? If not, these games seem to indicate that those 3 south teams are at least right up there or a little better than Calgary.
