1) is there no moderator who can get these guys off the board?
2) can we please stop feeding their egos by responding to them?

Guys it's just another form of freedom of speech. If you don't agree with the nature of their comments, speak out yourselves, or ignore them. I am certain that they enjoy the attention that you're giving them. On another note, I expect that there are quite a few university players whose beginnings were humble ones. Please correct me if I'm wrong but did Matt Daley (UNB starting point guard) play basketball for Bathurst, maybe? Would they be AAA? Or lower? My point is that there may be some true gems playing anywhere.

Actually Ballmax, you are supporting their argument. I believe that when Matt Daley was at Bathurst High they were AAA. Some would say that is why he was ready to jump right in and play at the AUS level because of the difficult schedule that came with playing in AAA??
I don't know the answer to that.

I moderate the board and try to not get involved with the exception of profanity or someone naming names in an overly derogatory way. I do have a job though so don't always see the posts instantly. If there is something particularly bad, please let me know by private message and I will log on and delete/modify it.

I see stiffness when I look at the Carleton north boys team...rothesay should have no problem beating them

Hah. Well. There you go. I guess it depends on why they play? The players who play on the teams in A and AA all want to be playing, so I guess it's not irrelevant to them? If there weren't these divisions, you'd have kids that didn't stick with the programs and turn to other pursuits because of how little fun they'd have getting clobbered. If the level of competition is way out of whack, and one team is completely clobbering another, then kids won't stick around. I've often thought that we should use the relegation/promotion methods of the English Premier League. For example, the first place teams in in each division who make it could be promoted, while the bottom team would be relegated. If you look at some of the scores on the NBIAA website, CNHS, Rothesay, Sugarloaf and Tantramar would move up while Harrison Trimble, Harbour view, Nepisiquit and Oromocto would move down? I realize there will be some problems with this, but it would give more importance to the regular season and it would make better teams better.

Maybe, but some teams wouldn't. And the teams that move down, would have better seasons, too.

Move all the teams around all you want but FHS is in a league of their own

This year, FHS is playing very well. They do have a loss on their books though. Early on, they lost to LHHS, I think? Any team can beat any other team, on any given day. That's why they play the game. There are a million other applicable clich├ęs. I'm not specifically talking about FHS. I'm thinking about other teams here, too.

I'll be honest I'm not sure who will make it rothesay and Carleton north be a good game and it'll be hard to beat CNHS on there own court and if sugarloaf beats Svhs and play Woodstock that'll be a good game as well, going to be a good weekend of basketball that's for sure
