I would have thought Dawson Boone would be there just from his 52 point effort yesterday?

The only person i could see boon make it over on the all star team is mccarthy, seeing as in every game boon played against harvey Drummond and Curtis outplayed him throughly and Hambrook is a for sure choice, and Smith makes mcadam go. so it was either boon or mccarthy and i guess the higher seeded team in regional and sectionals gets the extra participant..

Chris Spurell (KV) and Luke Nelson (BMHS)
Rita Soffee (FHS) and Reese Baxendale (Sussex), I believe.
One comment about the men's side, the fact that even though FHS had little trouble with NB teams all year, no one single FHS player won the player of the year. It just shows how well they distribute the ball. It was a true team effort by that FHS team.

Spurell is a great player but on a scrub team...it's only right that the player of the year should go to the team that's been dominant throughout the whole year and murdering the whole league

Enjoy it while you can 619, the next couple of years the best team in Freddy will be on the north side, very lean for FHS for awhile, not even a top 5 team next year.

I would say that's fairly inaccurate, considering the only team to beat the SJHS JV team this year was FHS JV.

Both teams were missing grade 10's who were playing Varsity (Lambert and Vicente for SJHS, Minwoo for FHS) and I'll give the nod to Minwoo for being the best grade 10 in the province.

Will FHS be top dog next year? No.

Will they be battling for another title in 2 years, absolutely.

They also have a handful of nice kids playing for YCBC right now at the A level, and last I checked there's only 2 schools in Fredericton so a good chunk of them will probably be going to FHS.

To add some weight to the LHHS argument, they had 3 grade 10 players missing from the JV team, Lafleur, Perry and Surur. They also played with the U15 and U15 Developmental teams last summer.

I do agree that FHS will still be a contender though.

Perry and Surur, along with Lafleur are good enough to have made a difference at the JV level this past year. They are also better than anyone FHS has coming up.

Maybe at the JV level they could have had success but they couldn't do much in a varsity league full of scrub teams...
