Seeding round results are testament to Calgary North strength. Every North Calgary team won over South team. Even sixth ranked St Francis from North beat 3rd ranked Scarlet from South. From south Clagary Manning and BOB are only two teams left in Quarter Finals rest 6 are from Calgary North. What should have been final now is a QF between Pearson and Lacombe. Another interesting QF McNally Vs EM. BOB should win by 10-15 over ND, Churchill over St Francis by 10-15 as well.

QF results
LBP 89 FL 78
ND 91 BOB 75
BM 72 EM 55
SF 87 SWC 86

BOB loss is bit strange. I feel the pain for BOB.....but they are victim to their own clouded mind set. Top notch coaching and gentlemen like players they should have won QF. It is not even a rumour but a fact BOB used their influence at CSHSAA to force out Lacombe to North Div. End result was they never got challenged during regular season games and lost to very weaker teams likes of St Mary's and Earnest Manning during regular season and now to ND in a QF game. BOB please use the same influence to make one Div 1 league like Edmonton Metro and you will do much better.

Churchill loss to St Francis may look like an upset. But they deserved it....Churchill coach one of the best recruiters but one of meanest coaches in Alberta. This coach has nothing else on his mind than his own son. Selfish coach is a dangerous man to have behind the bench. His kid a decent player but not worth playing all the game and his turnover assist ratio is one of the worst in Calgary if you rate top 10 PGs in Calgary. Last year this coach was brutal and arrogantly destroyed his own team to have his son playing ahead of about 7 other guards who were way better than him.

However I won't take away anything from St Francis they deserve to be here.

Pearson win is a reflection of when coaches get some talent and how you can get best out of them. This is most humble and hardest working team in Calgary. Kids don't care about their stats and playing time. I saw some stars sitting on bench for extending time thanks to foul troubles also couple significant players didn't get much time or may not have played at all thanks to match ups not in favor of them to be on court. Coach Bill Mitchell is the best coach in Alberta and finally he has a team he can coach to be competitive on bigger stage.

McNally is very skilled and well coached team as well. You don't go to big dance year after year just by fluke.....

ND has skills to beat anyone but I don't like the way this team is behaving. This was my favorite team to begin with but I can't support this team's arrogant and very disrespectful attitude .

I am hungry to see Pearson McNally Final on Saturday...However ND-St Francis final is also a real possibility.

Calgary Semis:

Pearson 85 Notre Dame 80
McNally 81 St Francis 66

McNally won very easily and were always in control.
Pearson had to work very hard to get this win. They were down by almost 20 at one time in second quarter. But they came back roaring rest of the way to take lead just before 3rd quarter ended and had double digit lead very late in the game. ND cut that down to 5 points in last few seconds.

McNally has much easier route to Finals beating Western, Manning, and St Francis by double digits. Pearson had to work very hard against Lacombe and ND. Hopefully Pearson still has something left in them to give us a Championship game Calgary fans deserve. Jack Simpson Gym gone be Crazy tomorrow....
