Not 100% sure, but it may be because one of Drive's preferred ways to raise their business's profile seems to be to send as many players to NCAA Div 1 schools as possible. Perhaps they believe playing US teams and giving their players as much US exposure as possible will lead to more D1 offers for their players, and therefore, more advertising ammunition.

Also, this might be the first time since about 2011 that the U17 BC team has been better than the U17 Drive Elite team. DRIVE seemed to surpass Basketball BC's talent level from the Class of 2012 onwards, IMO.

With the number of in-province tournaments increasing every year I think it's just a matter of time before top club teams play each other. Some teams do meet each other in the U.S. tournaments. At the same time it would be good to see all of the clubs at BC tournaments.

We want better BC players. Why not set up some exhibition games between the U16 and U17's club teams? The only thing that would hurt is the losing clubs ego

Why is the Basketball BC U16 team so large? Is there an A and B team? Last year there was a blue and red team U15.
BBC isn't showing the top players in this U16 category, why?

We decided that we would train with a larger pool of athletes and then when we play games we would divide in to two teams. More opportunities for more players. We also want to have a large data base of players as we begin preparation for next summers Canada Summer Games team.
