Grand Manan should be third or 2nd this year , they have a lot of role players in their system and have John Guptill coaching this year, watch out south .. Grand Manan is wavin in

I agree with your prediction, but this forum predicted gm would place very high for the past two years. A LOT of the southern teams lost good players and gm lost a few and i think the talent has really dropped this year and gm wont be looking like the team from the past years thats for sure

guess you will have to see... Gm plays Mcadam for their first game, and then CICS and following RNS... grand manan might finish top 2.. who knows... they will be a competitive with Jordan Green, and other players... they have a good starting 5 , and good bench.. grand manan started scrimmaging on monday

Don't count out Campobello, They have a new head coach in Greg Walker. They have some talent coming back and if his teams play anything like his fathers teams did, then they will certainly be hard working. The team returns Tyler Howlett, William Carroll and Stefan Mitchell. Jeremy Mills, Kris Tinker and Gavin Parker will be moving up from junior as well.

Don't count out anyone in the south. Except maybe SJDA. You can probably count them out if you want.

Harvey is clearly a front runner. Tough D. 3 solid coaching. Returning loads of experience.

After that the next 3 spots could be toss them in a bag and see who falls out.

McAdam should have the best individual player but how much support.

Campo will have a solid starting core of scorers. New coach with loads of basketball knowledge to help them get stops and deal with a short bench.

GM kids in, out, back in. Coach that has been with this group a long time in Guptill. Should have a good group of role players and some talent. Who will be the consistent force on offense??

Fundy lost a lot but keep a bring up a pile of 11's that were one of the top JV and Midget teams in their class last year. Bringing back a starter from 2 years ago who did not play last year, loads of depth and length. Questions in terms of readiness to play varsity, who will replace the offense, who will coach?

RNS is probably on the outside looking into this group though they could beat people with solid coaching and big big man.

And once 2 -6 get sorted out you'll have SJDA.

Grand Manan's most talented player will probably be Jordan Green with a lot of role players.. A lot of players are gonna have to step up to contribute some points.. Jordan will get his points and the rest will have to put up some numbers with offense... my prediction is
Harvey
Grand Manan
Mcadam
Fundy or RNS
Campobello
SJDA

Im kinda border line with grand manan being number two, i think there play off contenders but they can easily fall from the number two seed to number four. The change up in two coaches the past two years really paid a toll, but with John Guptill taking the juniors to the provincials finals every time but one in the past seven years, i think GM may make a run and see the lighttt

If it's open gym for just the varsity boys and your coach is there then that's called as practise. I know everyone does it in some form or another but the nbiaa is trying to stop it...good luck I say to them. By the way it's called the top of the hill tournament at RNS...the over the hill tournament is for players quite a bit older!!

Ive seen some of the RNS games and they had a very solid JV team which came in first in their division and as some have said that entire team is moving up to the varsity level so with there solid coaching they could be a competitor but they are still a young team that will need a year to get used to playing at a varsity level

It may be true that they were first in there division but I was at the provincials and the boys need to learn how to work under pressure situations

Hartland Tournament - November 12-13 - Hartland, Woodstock, McAdam, Southern Victoria, Carleton North, and Harvey
Harvey Tournament - December 10-11 - Harvey, Devon Park, Sugarloaf, and McAdam
FHS - Capital City Classic - Decenber 16-18 - FHS, LHHS, Bathurst, Carleton North, John A MacDonald (Halifax), and Harvey
McAdam Tournament - January 14-15 - From what I have heard McAdam, Harvey, and Saint John High are attending this.
There are also tournaments in Southern Victoria on November 26-27 and Sugarloaf on January 7-8 but I do not know the teams.

That is all I could find for now.

Leo Hayes has a great line-up for their tournament, Nov 19-21:
Leo Hayes, Fredericton High, KV, Riverview, Bathurst, and Woodstock
Probably 5 of the top 6 AAA teams.

LH and FHS meet in the round-robin Saturday night.

FHS had to drop out earlier in the week due their success in football. ESN took their place. Apparently ESN folded late yesterday. (This has implications for the AAA league as well. Looks like they will have an interlocking NorthEast Schedule). Schedule had to be changed. Tournament is now down to a 5 team round robin format. (BHS, SSHS, DRHS, JMH, St. Macs).I am told that a late night call (like midnight or so) to Dalhousie last night was needed to make it a go. Condor players are waking up this morning to find out that they have an unexpected game tonight vs Sugarloaf. Word from DRHS is that they may not be able to get the full team together on short notice but will have enough to play.

I know a lot of people don't like em, but you got to respect that "Dirty Bird" attitude.
They will play anyone, anywhere, anytime
