If your saying I'm Eric, I can guarantee you I am not. One must not make false accusations under the such circumstances CoachMac. I am just relaying information I have gotten from people associated with the team.

You coached Eric last year, you know what he's capable of, so why would he begin to now "tip his own hat". I think you owe Eric an apology for making such assumptions on a public forum. Key word, public.

I can assure you under no circumstance did I believe you to be Eric, nor did I imply you or anyone else on this forum was Eric. Nor, did I state I was referring to your post.

As for the second part of your comment, I most certainly do know what Eric is capable of doing. He is a very talented player who is one of the best in the league.

I think that Campobello is underrated in this forum. Looks like they have a lot to prove. I also think that it is funny that everyone thinks that Grand Manan is going to have a good team this year. They were nothing last year and they did not even gain anyone, why will they be anything special this year?

They only lost to Mcadam by 11??

Should be interesting when Grand Manan play Harvey in Harvey, or even Grand Manan in McAdam. They wont have a chance to complain and whine on the mainland like they did on that island.

Here is the top 10 for week 2, not many changes at the top but the bottom is mixed up a bit, keep in mind this is the top 10 up until this point not for the whole season.

Last week,conf rec, overall

1-Sugarloaf(1)(0-0)(6-1)-Yet to be tested in AA action, this week they beat Dalhousie easily aswell as Mathiey Martin twice and JMH to win their own tournament. They will stay here all season long at this rate. This week they play Dalhousie,Central NB and Woodstock.

2-Devon Park(2)(3-0)(3-0)-3 games,3 blowouts. They haven't really played anyone strong yet,but perhaps next week they will. This week they beat Tobique valley and ESA. Next week they play Nackawic, and at the Vallhalla it's Southern Vic and Ft.Fairfield.

3-McAdam(3)(1-0)(3-2)-They only played one game this week but it was a closer than expected game against Grand Manan. They still haven't lost against a AA opponent yet so they stay here. This week they play RNS.

4-Harvey(4)(1-0)(4-1)-They can't move up with a win over Campobello but they are on the verge depending on if they continue to win and if someone ahead loses. They beat St.Stephen aswell not an easy team to beat, they seem to be warming up now. This week they play Car north twice.

5-Central NB(5)(1-0)(2-0)-2 wins against weaker opponents wont move you up but it keeps you steady. This week though they have 4 league games, NSER,Blackville,Dalhousie and Sugarloaf, they will move up or down this week more than likely.

6-Campobello(7)(1-1)(4-3)-Some will say this is to high, but they have more wins than a lot of teams and have played well. They beat RNS but lost to Harvey. Time will tell if they should be this high, this week they play Grand Manan, a good test for both.

7-Dalhousie(6)(0-0)(2-5)-a losing record, but the losses are against top teams, the 2 wins are not impressive, they are lucky to be this high right now and unless they start winning, they won't be around much longer. They lost to Sugarloaf again, and Mathieu Martin, they beat JMH. This week they play Sugarloaf and Central NB.

8-Caledonia(9)(2-0)(4-1)-They suffered their first loss this week to mathieu martin but beat Belleisle and JMA.They seem to be the most consistent team in the East. This week they play RNS.

9-ECB(NR)(0-0)(4-1)-They beat all of the weaker opponents but lost to ESN, they also played a couple of more games but no results have been posted. They may not be here long but they can prove themselves they will be. This week they play Losier.

10-JMA-(NR)(0-1)(5-3)-They get back on here because they won 4 games this week, not against tough opponents but 5 wins gets u a spot. They beat Southern Vic,Hartland, Canterbury and Nackawic. They lost to Caledonia. This week the play Belleisle.

Bubble-Grand Manan(10)(0-1)(0-1)-You have to win a couple to be a top 10 team, I'm sure they will make it back on, just not sure when.

Sugarloaf will play Devon Park in the Condors Christmas Classic the first weekend in December. Teams at the tourny will be DRHS, Sugarloaf, BHS, Devon Park, Quebec City, and JMH who are a late fill in for Fundy who dropped out. Since the Classic is using both DRHS and SSHS gyms I believe the Sugarloaf / Devon Park game is being played at Sugarloaf.

Fro my perspective baller 2010-11 the game was a little chippy bordering on dirty sometimes. The refs did a very good job. The Grand Manan boys feed off of their new coach John Guptill who can be quite animated at times. Not sure who the asst is but he gets even more agitated on the bench which gets the players the same. They have some outside shooters but nothing inside. Not 100% who Jordan Green is but if it's the kid who moved up from JV last year I'm not sure why someone insists he be in the top ten players in the province. Moffitt was mauled most of the game but still sunk 40. He better get used to it because every team knows the warriors offense goes through him and they'll be coming after him hard.

was a very good game. There was one or two calls by the refs that were questionable but that is expected. The team has always been a hot headed team so when a call goes the other way when it's debatable the team gets real hot. Usually when that happens you can expect a loss from GM. But the game was great, very fun to watch. Jordan got off to a hot start and Zach Pothier(who came off the bench but probably should have started) played a solid first game in sr. I would watch this team as they haven't really had a full team practice yet.

The poll looks very well accurate in who should be in their ranking this week. John Guptill is a coach who knows these opposition teams better than the previous coach Grand Manan had last year and thats what going to get this team further into play-offs. They have a whole caliber of players going probably bout 9 or 10 deep and nice to see their all contributing rather than three like last year (bainbridge, ellis, and green). The season opening game against McAdam proven to me that they have what it takes to be a contender but im not going to make that a promised statement only after the first game, they still need to keep their head on the court and not wound up in calls or losing.
