Well if that is the case Witness and you do mean everyone, I guess you are including yourself in the group of McAdam underestimators. It is an open forum, go ahead make the call.

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH WITNESS....I WATCHED THE HARVEY VS MCADAM GAME AND MCADAM WAS EASILY THE BEST TEAM ON THAT DAY. I WOULD HOPE THAT HARVEY WAS JUST HAVING A BAD DAY BECAUSE I WAS QUITE DISAPOINTED AFTER ALL THE PRE-SEASON HYPE!!

Oromocto will run into a buzz saw of epic proportions and lose by 30 plus...Beating a depleted Woodstock team and facing the Lions are toooo vastly different challenges...Ryar will be run off the 3pt line and the team will be pressured continually into turnovers...Hickey will make sure of it! Oromocto improved for sure but not deep enough to battle AAA elite...BHS and Leo Hayes tomorrow will be a tilt! Bathurst is not deep either and their guard play without Daley on floor will be there for the taking with pressure...Go Lions!

116-65 may not be of epic proportions . . . but we know who the real deal is. Welcome to the top 10 OHS, but that don't mean your at the top of the heap.

Yeah losing to LHHS was definetly a reality check last night. That why LHHS is going to be tough to beat. They play PHS tonight as well should be a good comparison to see where the rest of the teams in a west are. OHS should be able to stick around more with FHS as LHHS was just to fast and athletic for a team with only 2 or 3 guys who can make tough shots and make semi smart decisions. That being said I still have hope for these guys, and would love to see them beat one of the power houses to take them off there manistil.

Caledonia 61 JMA 50 from Wednesday night. Anyone know who won the Minto Cambridge Narrows game last night?

McAdam may be underrated by some, but not by me I got them ranked 3rd!

possibly Dixon, if Stanley plays a great game. Not sure if Stanley improved enough to keep up just yet.

we deffentaily lost 4 of our starters last year, me and alex who would get up to 20 points a game a lot of games, but it is always a good game between the two teams. we will see they had a pretty good team for what they have , i guess

Caledonia 81 Belleisle 63, I have to say I think the EAST this year is the most inconsistent Conference going, everyone is beating everyone, no clear cut winner here this year! I don't know yet if everyone is that good, or if everyone is beating evryone due to these teams just not showing up every night, very hard to read! Caledonia is the most consistent thus far, they are 4-1 overall now.

caledonia did not beat belleisle, the refs did. fouls were 31 to 12 and 3 people fouled out and 4 people at 4

You gotta adapt to the game, regardless of what anyone says and I'm guilty of this aswell, refs don't cost you games, great teams win even when the calls don't go their way. I have seen some poorly reffed games but when it all comes down to it,teams panic, get frustrated and beat themselves.

its hard to do this when you are pressed for players due to fouls. on a bright note, Belleisle's PG Matt Cookson took over the game and cut a 27 point lead down to 8. but he was fouled out with 5 minutes left.......

This is not a helpful attitude. There are games in this province every night where 40+ fouls are called. If you need a certain player or players in a game to win, then it is lack of depth that lost a game not who was fouled out or hurt. Being in foul trouble is always frustrating, but unless the refs are shooting they can't beat ya.

I do get bothered by this idea that "kids should adapt." In an individual game players and coaches have to do what they have to do, BUT I know kids and teams in this province that play a brand of basketball that resembles what high level basketball and defense look like but some officials just don't want it played that way. These kids and teams shouldn't change who they are and how they play based on one official or one night. Kids who are misinformed or directed by officials who want the game played differently then their coach is instructing is my only beef . . . besides inconsistency Wink

I think officials are doing the best job they can every night and if players stick to playing and officials stick to officiating it will all work out the way it is supposed to.

Aren't you Matt Cookson?

Perhaps you should shrink your head a little bit and just play basketball. Don't worry about what people on this board say about your team. Just play to win the game and have fun doing it, believe me..when you get out of HS basketball is one of the things you'll miss, unless you go onto to play university. and after that you will miss playing it 7 days a week.

Caledonia must be much improved. Which is expected after not loosing anyone last year. I dont know where Bellisle gets the right to be complaining about officials, and thinking they'd win if more calls went their way. Just because you made provincials last year for the first time in history doesnt mean your going to go out and beat teams this year on a regular basis. You still have to earn it.

Breakers 63 Warriors 74..
Tough game until around the end.. Warriors were winning by 20 at one point.. Foul trouble by the Breakers.. Great first game for the Breakers, all they will do now is improve.

JMA road trip out west this weekend going 4-0..

I think they beat Hartland, southern vic, nackawick and canterbury.

Eric Lewis went off, If he doesn't make the all star team this year I will be in utter shock.

apparently he had two near 30 points games and a 40 points game.

Once JMA get's rolling, the east will become more competitive.
