AA

Brandon Moffitt - MHS
Brandon Miekle - DPCS
Gordan Robinson - HHS
Tyler Howlett - CICS
William Carroll - CICS
Jordan Green - GMCS

all that comes to mind from the south, theres some good talent north with sugarloaf not quite familiar. id have to disagree with zach pothier on your list. to undersized, hes going to have to adapt to varsity level. maybe a candidate in his final year of basketball.

Finalists Predictions In North, South, East, and West:

South:

1. HHS
2. GMCS

East:

1. Minto
2. Petitcodiac

North:

1. Sugarloaf
2. Central NB Academy

West:

1. Southern Victoria
2. Hartland

i like your selections for the final predictions.. I will have to disagree with the William Carroll, he will have to work really hard for his spot.. and Zach Pothier grew over the summer, and is doing pretty good .. He may be a starter on the boys team

I am confused. When exactly was it you were underestimated. It was said on this site all last year that you couldn't beat Sugarloaf or Devon Park.... and you couldn't. So last years estimation was dead on accurate.

This year you are being picked #2 in the North behind Sugarloaf (who obviously gets the #1 spot until someone shows they can beat them) by just about every post. So I don't really see the underestimation there either

One loud mouth rant that puts you down and you want to play the poor underestimated CNBA card. Give me a break!

Hey Charolottecounty dreamer

When I say I laughed out load at your predictions for the west: Hartland and Southern Vic I mean it. Have you pumped the pick up full of gas and actually traveled to a game anywhere?

Nice one. Now I love it when guys like coach mac say we are entittled to our opinions and we all get to say what ever we want. I mean thanks for the permission and all. So thanks for saying whatever comes to mind.

What are you on about? Where exactly did I say you were entitled to an opinion?

Last year we were underestimated up until regionals when people saw that we could be a contender, we r picked high this year by a few but not by everyone...and when did everyone on here start looking for an excuse to complain and bad mouth everybody, we all need to lighten up!!! It's high school basketball!!!! Just enjoy the season!

what about # 15 from Stanley Blair Bartlett, he is good for at least 25-30 ppg, and gets the boards as well.

I think Duan Fournier-Ash (Sugarloaf) should be on that list. He played U16 last summer and is one of the top ranked players in this year's CP group.

Maybe not yet you need to take his two year break in consideration not many people could just jump back in like that.

PostSubject: Hoop Classic in the Miramichi over the Weekend ( Sugar- Loaf)   Wed Nov 24, 2010 12:59 am

I was at most of the games for the hoop classic this weekend, since my son played for JMH. I knew from the start that Sugar-loaf was going to run away with this tournament because the talent was not amazing at this tournament. It was nice to see some good talent from a lot of the teams but mostly with Sugar-loaf. I know they won the championship last year and with Adair coaching again this year I don't see why the won't do it again. Most people who talk about this league on the site really only talk about McNaughton from Sugar-loaf and he is probably their best player. He didn't play his best this weekend and I heard that he was feeling 100% but im sure he will have another strong and successful year. To be honest the team really impressed me and Mathiew Martin was not match for them in the finals. One player who I thought stood out in this tournament was #6 from the Bruins. I think I ve heard a few people say his name was Eric Johnson but I can't confirm that 100% If I made a mistake with his name I'm sorry but I do know his number is 6 and he really played well all tournament with his shooting especially. This weekend he was probably their best shooter in the games I saw, now I don't know if this was a lucky weekend for the Kid since I ve never seen him play before but it was impressive for sure. As for JMH they didn't play that great but I can see them improving over the year and possibly maybe have some hope for challenging for a playoff spot

His name is Eric Johnson, I was really surprise that SSHS only had 1 allstar selection last year.

Just an FYI for "basketball" ....great post...and JMH will make the play-offs. With the last minute registration of ESN and PLM (Caraquet) there is now a Northern Conference with JMH , BHS , ESN , and PLM. All four teams will qualify for the conference tournament, Feb 11th -12th.
BHS is likely the favorite to finish first in that conference and JMh will likely be second. (They beat ESN by 30 last week and ESN beats Caraquet easily) They will most likely face Moncton High or Trimble in the conference tourney , and that will be a very winable game for them. They are well coached and I am betting will be much improved by February.

JMH plays BHS tonight in Bathurst in a league game....game time 7;45

classless punk like Brandon Moffit shouldn't be considered a top player. No respect for the game or players. People wonder why Grand Manan and McAdam games are so choppy. its what they don't see and hear on the court that fuels it. And that kid is the fuel for a real shit fire.
