top nine of the week -

1. JMA - Beating Harvey keeps them at the number one spot. Have to learn how to play better in back to back situations though, lost a close one to McAdam.

2. Harvey - Only have lost to JMA in AA play so far this season.

3. McAdam - huge upset vs JMA, but it was a back to back. I believe if JMA played McAdam not on a back to back the game would have been a lot different.

4. Southern Victoria - very impressive showing beating Rothesay and BHS this weekend. Big games coming up against McAdam and DP to move up the ranking.

5. Sugarloaf - Lost to JMA by 20 but managed to hold off DP. They always have a good showing.

6. Devon Park - close game against Sugarloaf and have some games coming up to move up the rankings.

7. GM - beat Campo and didn't get beat horribly by McAdam or Harvey, but they need to win a couple against the teams above to move up in the rankings.

8. Campo - good program, but I just don't think they are in the level of anyone above them.

9.Fundy - yet to win a game.

Not bad, I think the top 4 could flip flop at anh given time. A well balanced division.

DP in JMA tonight, DP could move up the rankings if they pulled up a huge upset here.

I'm from around the Salisbury/Petitcodiac area, yes.

Both games were played without JMA's starting point guard. Devon Park was handled easily, JMA seemed to be able to get any shot they wanted...I think JMA ended winning by 45 or something like that. Never got a chance to see the SV game.

JMA seems real deep, and benefit from great coaching and teamwork. There's no "star players" on the team, they all work as a cohesive unit and are definitely the most consistent AA team on the JV side of things.

Suspension, not sure of the details. He'll be back for their next game, I believe.

top nine before Christmas -

1. [1] JMA - Big wins against Southern Victoria and DP last week. Most impressive part of it all is that they did it without their starting point guard.

2. [2] Harvey - Only have lost to JMA in AA play so far this season...Game against GM last week still waiting for details.

3. [4] Southern Victoria - Had a one point game against JMA. Beating some AAA teams, so come playoffs watch out for these guys.

4 [3]. McAdam - Somehow managed to steal one from JMA, probably had something to do with JMA playing on a back to back. Will have to earn top 3 January first when they play southern Victoria.

5. [5] Sugarloaf - Got killed by ESN last week, and it looks like after this senior season the glory days for Sugarloaf are narrowing.

6. [6] Devon Park - Lost to Oromocto and JMA last week, have some game coming up that could move them up in the ranking but could also move them down.

7. [7] GM - Staying here because their better then Camp. Have a game against Harvey that could move them up in the rankings.

8. [8] Campo - Need to beat a decent team to move up

9. [9]Fundy - Still looking for that first win by the looks of things.

19, looked like it would be a pretty close GM win at first. They still got a lot to learn, the Breakers teams aren't what they used to be and need to learn a new style of play that doesn't rely so much on pure talent.

Can't remember sorry. Something around a 10 point difference I am pretty sure. But I am talking first five minutes, GM was taken them for a ride. Then Harvey started to out rebound. Harvey has a very good team.

There appears to be really distinct levels in this league. 3-4 teams at the top who are really competitive with each and and much better then everyone else.

Then each team after that would appear to be significantly better again then the next team down.

In my knowledge sugarloaf is only graduating 4. 2 of which arent even starters. I'd look for them to be able to hold their own again next year. However I might be wrong. Only time will tell!
