DPCS over Harvey by 6. DP lead by 9 at the break, Harvey came out of the break running and eventually took a 4 point lead in the 4th. With 4:19 left in the 4th Harvey leads by 2 but does not finish strong. Lots of great home fans supporting the boys.
Sugarload was leading McAdam by 18 in the 3rd, had to leave to catch a plane so have no final results.

McAdam was within 4 with three to play but it ended up either a nine or ten point win for Sugarloaf. Very intense game.

McAdam over DP by 7 and Sugarloaf leads Harvey 40-38 at half. Every game is very close and very intense.

Could potentially be the final 4 haha. I see Harvey potentially pulling an upset..Just shows that any team can compete with sugar loaf.

Sugarloaf defeats Harvey 77-71. Harvey was down 3 and Sugarloaf made a three as the shot clock expired with 8 seconds left to put the nail in the coffin. The game could have went either way, and all teams in this tournament are capable of beating each other. Come playoff time, in a win or go home situation, anyone could rise up and bring home the banner. Right now Sugarloaf is still the favorite until they are beaten, but the others are knocking on the door.

McAdam won 69-63. It was a 2 point game with under 3 to play then McAdam went on a 10 point run to go up 12, Harvey hit to 3's with about a minute to play. It was a great by both teams probably the best of the tourrney. The tourney in genral was one of the best i have seen in AA in a long time there was only one blow out when Sugarloaf beat Devon Park by 20 some. For what i seen Sugarloaf is very beatable they must shot about 30- 40 3's a game they would rather shot a contested 3 then blow by there man off the dribble for the easy 2

From what i seen sugarloaf never shot much over 20, 3's and why not shoot em when they seem to make them on a regular basis. I do agree that it was a very close tournament and most games could of went either way. however sugarloaf seemed to show a bit of what they can do with the 20+ point win.

I get a little eye rolly, when people complain about teams that shoot the ball too much. The teams that win at high levels in this province are the teams who have more shooters. The kids in our province who play at a high level are the ones who can shoot the ball. Brad States is arguably the most dominant post player/forward in the province and he is going to Acadia to be wing player. So he needs to be able to shoot it.
At any level of this game if you can pound it inside and get lay ups you are clearly going to more successful. We don't have many if any post players in this province, and that is not because we don't have coaches training posts, its because after middle school or after high school these kids do not have the size or athleticism to post players anymore. So you can train them to dominate a game at one level and not have them be successful at the other. (This is a different rant on different subject.)
If our kids are going be more successful provincially, individually in their basketball careers and we are going to keep up with the rest of the country and world more of our kids need to be shooting the ball more often and better. Teams like Sugarloaf, Devon Park, Fredericton High, Bathurst, LHHS etc shoot it when its open because that is right read. Their kids train to shoot it because they know they are allowed to and they need to make them to beat high level competition. They also spend more time shooting and developing a depth of talent rather than focusing on offenses and defenses showcasing a couple of individuals or designed to beat bad teams or teams having a bad game.

shoot the 3, but teach them to read first. to the point of reading the options as the wing hits their cut on the floor. don't just run to your spot and pop
