The Mill Rats have played 3 exhibition games so far. They have 3 remaining then begin a 20 game regular season schedule starting Jan. 2.

Mike didn't get in the first game vs Quebec. In the second game against Halifax he play some good minutes as the backup PG scoring 7 pts. In the third game Mike started, played 20+ minutes and scored 14 pts including a clutch 3 pointer in the 4th quarter.

The Mill Rats cut 3 players today including two SG's plus announced the signing of another PG. This should allow Mike to move over to SG to compete for a spot. Mill Rats now have 12 players competing for 10 spots.

The only thing going against them is that one of their guards, Eric Gilchrese, was out with an injury.

They also announced this week they are bringing back another guard from last year that is highly ranked.

That said, he played well and didn't look out of place. Best of luck to him, for it gives current players in high school aspirations to shoot for.

I dont think its any salary to be overwhelmed by, i was interested in the topic aswell and did some research and leagues such as the PBL come and go. There are so many professional basketball leagues and by the looks of it on average only look they are active for not even a decade then close due to franchise failures.

I was told that in similar leagues players get paid anywhere from 5-15k for a season. I don't know this for sure though.

I have been told there is a 100 K salary cap on the PBL teams.
