White Rock Christian Beat Lambert park by 40, i dont think they should be ranked that high, there are several other teams that could take their spot.

Lambrick also plays VC on Thursday. We'll see how they do.

I think the next ranking should be dramatically different.

I think that three teams got sort of ripped off on this ranking. They are churhill, burnett, and mcmath. I think that all three of those teams should be top ten. but then again I havent a couple of the teams on this ranking play before, so I don't know what teams like duchess park and Lord tweedsmuir are capable of. Can't wait for the next ranking.

is this the ranking that was in the paper?

Hello, sir/madam.
I think it would be better to just post out each team's win/loss record. (like the NBA one). In stead of having one person's version of prediction. cuz predictions sometimes fails but the win/loss record. Let the wins speak!

I'm not privy to that information. The junior boys' coaches of the province are supposed to send their game scores to Ian Hyde-Lay at SMUS and then he attempts to determine a ranking based on all of them. I do not say attempts with any sort of derision, but I say it in order to express how difficult it is to actually put rankings together, especially when game scores don't come in regularly.

I think Yale has a pretty good Squad, fifteen deep!
Here are some of their results

Yale Lions Win 56-47 over Abbotsford Panthers
Yale Lions Win 70 – 30 over Langley Christian
Yale Lions Win 62 – 47 over Lord Tweedsmuir
Yale Lions win 52-41 over Oak Bay
Yale Lions Win 77 -21 over Chilliwack Frontiersman
Yale Lion Win 64-21 over Abby Christian Knights

Are they ranked to high... I don't know, we will have to wait and see!

Mouat verse Yale will be fun to watch!

Rankings are very difficult to do, all you can base it off is game scores and game reports. You can't be at every game or even close to every game, especially since BC is a big province. Also, no games are on TV like in the college in the States so it is extremely tough, and a lot of teams don't play each other. Furthermore, if coaches don't send game scores in then it is even more difficult to do the rankings. There will always be some dissension, rankings are never perfect, but I guarantee the person doing them is trying to do their very best, or close to it, with what they have.

I have never heard that coaches were "supposed" to send their scores in to SMU...leagues have never been asked to do this, nor coaches, nor does it say anything to that effect on SMUS provincial junior boys website.....are you sure about this? Ian might not appreciate piles of scores showing up in his inbox.

that tells a lot. What is up with Burnaby South ?? They seem very inconsistent, beating a top team one day, then having difficulty. If Grove only beat them by 1, predict that Grove is way over-rated. Not sure how they got such a high ranking as the school has never done anything when it comes to basketball......including this present group.

I do agree walnut grove should not be ranked number 2 ahead of Vancouver college, Kits and Pitt, they should definatley be ranked but not 2nd maybe 5th or 6th

I wudn't put VC so low just because they lost couple of games lately. They should be above 4. Also I wudn't put walnut so high since they havent done any to justify. Mouat two rank above Lord Tweed is not right either. That is my 2 cents.

Rankings can't even be made, all the teams In the province have lost and beaten each other and unlike the seniors, I don't think the top 10 is clear because there are no clearly dominate teams like South, Palmer and VC. At this point we should just sit back and wait to see what happens.

Mcmath, Burnett, South and I'm sure many more teams could make the top 10.

WJ Mouat played and beat VC minus two starters. Tweedsmuir beat WJ Mouat barely but i doubt that they could beat Mouat again. Mouat played there worst game of the year and the score was still very close. I not saying it was a fluke just that its apparent WJ Mouat is the better team! And that will come to fruition!! For that matter where's Yale in the ranking... they beat Tweedsmuir by15 to 20 pts earlier in the season! We have only begun to see who's who! I do no one thing McMath should not be ranked top ten again until they prove they are worthy! I seen some real talented kids play this week... wow who's said matt warrich is not top ten grade ten player. Great player!!!

Bballer, you are incorrect on the wins and loses, Smus is still yet to be beaten, we should actually not make any rankings until after this van college tournament in early January. All the big teams will be there so it should be a fun thing to watch.
