Lets have some thoughts:
Raymond will still be 1, need to know results from Tri prov to make some informed decisions

Looks like Jasper Place should drop a bunch. Losing to Wisewood and now losing to Western and Ross Shep at Tri Prov. They should drop all the way down to 6th.

Ainlay lost in the finals by two points against Oak Park Raiders from Manitoba.
82-80
They should have won but the refs were blind. Patterson was CLEARLY fouled on a three point shot with 1 second to go. Poor reffing cost them the game. A lot of lead changes through out the game. Oak Park took advantage of the missed calls that would have benefited Ainlay.
That stated, Ainlay should have easily won that game. Their path to the finals was much easier than the Raiders'. This was my first time watching Ainlay and I noticed that the players (this is more towards their bench players) get rattled easily when playing against a 2-3 zone. Ainlay has the best transition offense in Edmonton, but it needs improvement in the half court set if they wanna win it all, come March.

As for Western, they lost in the semis against Oak Park by 1. Didn't see the game, but from what I hear, it was an exciting one.
101-100

Cardston lost against Ainlay in the semis. Cardston was no match for Ainlay. It was a BLOW OUT.
106-67

JP lost against Western in the first round.
85-79.
It was a really close game. JP lost because there was no intensity in the fourth quarter. It seemed as if the players didn't want the ball when it came to playing defense. And offensively, they were making terrible decisions. Fundamentals disappeared. No look passes turned into turnovers. (Sebastian)
The coach needs to be more vocal if they want to beat Ainlay in the conference finals.
Western had an amazing half court offense. Great ball movement by them.

Shep was ousted by Oak Park.
83-75

JP lost against Shep to play for consolation. JP didn't care for the game. NO motivation to win it. Same situation last year when they were playing against fx for third.

The rankings should be interesting. Not a lot of league games so it's all on Tourneys.
Ainley has beaten a lot of teams in tourneys since last ranking.
JP has been up and down. They've lost to Shep 2x this year already, but have beaten Ainley in exhibition early.
Shep did not play 1 game since the last ranking so not sure how the rankers judge that.

JP has to drop to near the bottom of the top 10 at the least. Any chance of seeing McNally in there? Maybe an HM?

Big surprise tonight in Edmonton, big win from JP over Harry Ainlay 98-75... i watched the game and JP was a completely different team from Tri-Prov, they came out very strong and ready to play while Ainlay came out and did not know what to do, finally JP decided to play some defense, they didnt let Ainaly head man the ball. I wonder how is this going to affect the rankings now... any predictions?
