As coachescorner pointer out, the '09 - '10 Bruins had far more depth, and Osaro was not necessarily the 2nd choice. They were strong in the backcourt with Semir leading the pack. As far as Osaro goes, he is not 2nd best player in VanEast. He is a good player, with a lot of potential to become great. For now, he sit outside the top 3. The Bruins did not even qualify for the city playoffs this year. Lieng at 7th spot only ahead of the Templeton Titans and Gladstone Gladiators. Put Warren in his place and I guarantee atleast 6th spot qualifying for cities.

This forum is about AAA Seniors in Vancouver. Not a debate on if Osaro Obaseki is fantastic of not. Nor is it a place to take away from the players ability. It is to highlight there skills and give players recognition that otherwise are not talked about due to lack of 'hype'. Such as VT's Nemanja Djajic, J.J Inclan of the Tupper Tigers, or Andy Vo of DT. All of which who have skill and ability far above the average in Vancouver, but are somewhat flying under the radar.

Why is it that, through all these comments only 1 or 2 people have mentioned players on the west side ? If you compare the west and the east, from team to team the West has a lot more talent and traditionally have better teams than the east. I would like to hear some of your thoughts on players in the West !

Not sure why the West hasn't been discussed, maybe more people here are from East Van. Who do you know from the West? Alan Wu's Byng (W3) squad lost 63-45 to Killareny(E7). Van Tech(E3) beat Prince of Wales(W6) 97-65.

Outside of Kitsilano, the West is a much weaker division. The VT Talisman had just today played the 6th seed in the West P.W (Which beat Point Grey(West #2). Byng was thoroughly beaten by Killarney. With a very convincing win, they were ahead from the start. Starting, and finishing strong. By the way Killarney is all grade 11's. Aside from Kitsilano, the West is not particularly talented (there are individuals, but not in the sense of a team dynamic). Matt Anza of P.W put on a astonishing early shooting performance hitting 6 3 point shots in the first half according to my records. Alan Wu of Byng is also good, against shorter, weaker, defenders. However, against a even defender he often falls short.

Yeah, everyone let's just drop this debate because coachBC said so. Funny. Between that and your ridiculous straw man arguments, I doubt anyone will be able to get through to you.

I'll just end on this note. Any rational mind that knows the game of basketball knows that a star can't shine if he has no support. Blaming lack of team success on the star of a team when his supporting cast is absymal shows a lack of knowledge of one of the most basic basketball fundamental principles: No one player can win a game by themselves.

Have you noticed that the majority in this discussion have disagreed with you? Might want to take note of that instead of being so stubborn in your beliefs.

Obaseki had 17 points, 11 rebounds and eight blocks. Ibrahim had 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Defence and offence, also performed when their star didn't
