Was told they were at the VC tourney and lost in the final to VC by 34 but beat VC at the Kelowna invitational by 1 in that final. After losing 3 straight at the BC's looks like they were vastly overrated. Should be a good final with WRCA and SMUS.

Not at all...Kelowna was an unknown and surprise 1 seed. Ballenas just got thumped by Mcmath and you have Pitt and VC sitting on the sidelines. Did Kelowna even play a tourney in the valley/island/vancouver?

Kelowna was RANKED #1 in the last BC poll - not seeding to this tourney but the last poll - Feb 9. They had earned that with some good wins.

There were 5 coaches BC polls done this year here is where Kelowna was in each (you will see that they steadily climbed through the season)
Pre-season Poll #1 - Nov 25 - Not ranked
Poll #2 - Dec 15 - #13
Poll #3 - Jan 12 - #8
Poll #4 - Jan 26 - #2
Poll #5 - Feb 9 - #1

Kelowna earned the #1, but is having a very bad weekend. You also don't know if their is sickness or injury. All we know is they are having a VERY bad weekend.

Go to www.sportvictoria.com if you want to see all of the JR BC polls from the season.

After getting pummeled by VC by 34 and then beating them by 1 at their own tourney who are the other "good" teams that they beat? Not trying to pick on Kelowna but it seems to me and others in junior ball that they aren't too familiar with them. Anybody?

SMU vs WRCA in final. Who wins? Expect a packed house of SMU supporters.

Or another way to look at it is that ALL of the teams from the Lowermainland / V & D and Fraser Valley placed in the top 10. Perhaps more berths should have been given to such powerful conferences: Pitt? VC? I bet there is a good chance they would have placed in the top 10 as well.

The scores from Ballenas vs McMath and Kits also are quite telling......

I would also like to tip my hat and thank Ian Hyde-Lay, Richard Primorse and the SMUS athletic department for putting on a fantastic tournament! It was amazingly organized, the SMUS campus is beautiful and is just a really great facility.

Congrats to all teams for their final placings, and especially the champs WRCA. Should be a good grade 10 provincials at VC next year, and all the schools in the tournament this year should have some really good senior teams next year!
